• Graduate Student Instructors are in a labor union, the Graduate Employees’ Organization, or GEO.
• GEO fights for its members and beyond. All summer, we’ve fought for a safe and just campus in the face of the pandemic - and against UM’s budget cuts and tuition increase. The University has ignored us.
• That is why GEO is ON STRIKE. We are not working until the University agrees to give us the right to remote work, emergency covid relief for graduates, and to disarm and defund campus police.
