Our story
Zakike Women Leadership Program(ZWLP) is a groundbreaking Non-Profit Organization (NPO) founded by Yujeong Kim(INSEAD MBA 23D) in 2020.
"Zakike" means "For women" in Swahili, embodying our mission to uplift and empower Kenyan women. ZWLP is an online mentoring program that equips young Kenyan women with essential job skills, professional guidance, and leadership capabilities.
We connect our mentees to mentors across the world based on their professional focus and interests. So far, Zakike has graduated 150 students.

This year, Zakike has joined forces with the esteemed Africa, Women in Business, and Indevor Club at INSEAD to amplify our social impact and nurture the growth of female leaders in Africa. Together, we can achieve extraordinary milestones!
How do I join the initiative?
WHO
All INSEAD MBA students and graduates are welcome to join this transformative initiative.
Your expertise and dedication will create a ripple effect of positive change!
HOW
Devote 12 hours of your time this summer (July-Sept) and become a mentor to aspiring women in Kenya.
(For example, 10 hours (5 mentoring sessions x 2h) + 2 hours (curriculum designing)
WHAT
You have the freedom to choose a topic close to your heart, whether it's career development, job skills, or life coaching.
Design your own curriculum and class schedule, and connect with your mentees through Zoom.
How do I join the initiative?
Our mentees
Our participants range from recent college graduates to mid-career professionals.
We welcome applicants from diverse educational backgrounds and employment statuses, fostering inclusivity and diversity.
Program structure
We match mentors with mentees based on their professional focus and interests.
Mentees will apply for your course, guided by the curriculum you create.
