About the App

Our app, ‘Rude Awakening’, is about terrorism and mainly what can be done during a terrorist attack.
The dictionary definition of terrorism is “the unlawful use of violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims.”
Terrorism is a major social issue in many parts of the world, and everyday thousands of people are injured, killed, and displaced from their homes because of it.
We created this app to bring awareness to the things that sometimes the news and government doesn’t quite tell us about, either to protect us or to keep us ignorant from the truth, but in a way that isn’t so harsh.
The app gives the player a chance to live through a simulator of sorts to experience a scenario close to being terrorized.

Inspiration

The inspiration for this app was many topics, but mainly after brainstorming, we thought of people around the world experiencing things that we might not know of, things that are going on while we’re sleeping, while we’re hanging out with friends, and when we’re living while people are fighting to stay alive.

You should find shelter. This is the most logical option, though it might be difficult to do so. Finding authorities may take long to do so and in doing so you may get hurt. And lastly phone battery should be saved as much as possible.

How does our app help people?

Everyone can get information about where the terror is taking place and help the innocent people who are suffering. If curious, you can listen to various information in real time with photos and videos and research on your own accord, as well! By seeing the photos and the videos you can understand how those people are protecting their country, house, family and everything at the risk of their life. By knowing what’s happening around the world people can be able to speak out and fight for them across the world by protesting or campaigns.

Terrorism is something that will always be occurring around the world, and so trying your best to be more aware of the things going on in the world we’re all living in can perhaps make things a bit less grim.
