You no longer need to remember to apply an unsubscription exclusion (UNSUB)�Yay!

You need to be even more diligent when selecting your audience report(s) or data extension(s)�Your inclusion report or data extension name now indicates which preference category is being used. If you have multiple preferences, be sure you select the correct audience. Example: 08_UREL_ONGOING_Alumni vs 08 UREL OG Alumni SUB B Benson

Both Reports and Data Extensions will be named differently than they used to be.

Data Extension Process

1) Create Salesforce Report�Your eComm specialist will create your Salesforce Report for you.

2) Create Marketing Cloud Data Extension�Your eComm specialist will convert the Salesforce Report to a Marketing Cloud Data Extension.

3) Run Data Extension�Data Extensions reflect a Salesforce Report at a moment in time - you’ll need to re’Start’ them before each send.

4) Confirm Successful Data Extension�You’ll receive a notification email confirming the Data Extension ran correctly or not

5) Send to Data Extension�Use Guided Send or Salesforce Send Email to deliver your email to the Data Extension audience.

  • Underscores (_) are removed
  • ONGOING is condensed to OG
  • UNSUB_Sys Events is changed to SUB Sys Events
  • Both are combined into the Inclusion name
