Our Team
I work on a team with Mrs. Fedak, Miss Demers, & Miss Christine
I teach Math and Science.
Mrs. Fedak teaches English, Reading, Writing, and Social Studies.
Ms. Demers is an Intervention Specialist. She works in both of our rooms and teaches all of the subjects. This is a special teaching relationship called Co-Teaching.
Miss Christine is a Paraprofessionals that helps students with various tasks.
Co-Teaching
Co-Teaching involves two or more teachers sharing the responsibility for all of the students in the classroom.
We both teach, collect data, work individually, in small groups, and lead instruction to the entire class.
There is a lot of “WE” and not much “ME”.
We are a team.
Miss Demers and Miss Christine are vital cogs in our wheel of success.
We are all important teachers in the classroom.

Grades
We use PowerSchool to keep track of attendance, assignments, and grades. You can sign up to view your child’s assignments and grades.
My wife and I use PowerSchool at home to monitor our children’s assignments and scores. It is very helpful!
Growth Mindset vs. Fixed Mindset
We have a growth mindset in fourth grade.
“In a growth mindset, people believe that their most basic abilities can be developed through dedication and hard work---brains and talent are just the starting point. This view creates a love of learning and a resilience that is essential for great accomplishment.” -Carol Dweck
Conversely, in a fixed mindset people believe their basic qualities, like their intelligence or talent, are simply fixed traits. They believe that talent alone creates success---without effort. They are incorrect.
