The story of how Jesus proved the impossible is possible with God
The Storm
Jesus was travelling on boat with his disciples. Suddenly, when he fell asleep, a great storm arose!
Doubt
The disciples were fearful. Rather than trusting God, they became doubtful. Why were they in danger, even in the presence of the Lord?
They woke Jesus up, demanding he stop the storm. “Lord save us, we’re going to drown!” they exclaimed.

He rose, and stopped the storm at once. A great calmness filled the seas.
When awoken, Jesus was disappointed in the disciples.
The Son of God
The disciples were in shock. At once, their doubt was replaced by awe. Even the storm and winds obeyed him!

What does this story mean?
Symbolism
Jesus stopping the storm shows how God can stop the chaos and hardships in our lives.
Disciples
The disciples, however, symbolize non-believers. When going through a hardship, they doubt God’s ability.
But once they allow God in their lives, he will stop the storm. However, It is up to US to let him in.
Wherever you go through a hardship, put your trust in God. The devil is the one who puts you in these hardships, but God is the one to take you out of them

So how can we ensure that we don’t end up in these hardships? And if we do get stuck, how do we allow God to help us out?

Prayer
NEVER doubt God’s power. By doubting God, you allow the devil to enter your life. He will make your life chaos. God can save you from that chaos.
Try your best not to sin. Sin is basically giving the devil the key to your life. Instead, read the Bible to understand and prevent sin better.
Whether or not you are stuck in a hardship, pray to God CONSTANTLY. He is your father, so tell him about your life! Your ups, your downs, even the “useless” things you do. He wants to hear you and help you!

A prayer on trusting God to pull us out of hardships
Lord, help me to know that you care, that you love me, be my refuge from pain, replacing my distress with peace, and be my strength when I feel weak and find it hard to carry on. Help me not to fear the future but to boldly trust that you are in control when my emotions plunge me down, and when I am in despair. In Jesus name I pray,
