WHY PROTEST
On November 4th, 2020, Principal Brian Fellows of Deep Run High School deemed a SILENT and NON DISRUPTIVE protest regarding social injustice was too “distracting” to be allowed in online school and kicked the student out of class, even though instruction was happening undisturbed for 50 minutes prior to the kick.
Even though Amy Coney Barrett doesn’t know it, the 1st Amendment covers protests, even during school. Therefore, the actions that Dr. Fellows took was a clear violation of student’s Constitutional rights to protest.
