    • Plan of Study
      • 3 versions: first semester, preliminary (for proposal defense), final (for thesis/dissertation defense)
    • Qualifying Exam (for PhD students)
      • Usually offered every year in May
    • Proposal Defense
      • Do it as soon as possible (as early as 1 semester after qualifying exam)
      • Must do at least 1 semester before graduation (the latest)
      • Presentation should be up to 30 min long
      • Proposal document should be around 15-20 pages long
