Opportunities & Considerations

The Portland Public Schools Cleveland High School Modernization Project is a new 297,000 SF facility to be built on the existing campus. This presents both strategic opportunities and logistical challenges for delivering a successful modernization project.

  • Utilize outreach, partnership and recruitment with workforce organizations, trade apprenticeship programs and unions to create an apprenticeship program that reflects the diversity of Portland Metro.
  • Good Faith Effort documentation

Respectful Workplace Program

  • Cleveland High Modernization will have an approved Respectful Workforce Program such as Green Dot for Trades or RISE Up.
  • Skanska and PPS believe in the continue need to build awareness and reinforce a strong antiharassment workplace.
  • The RWP applies to conduct at the jobsite, other sites where work, design, planning, bidding or other interactive conduct occurs related to this project.
