2025 Annual Department Plan

Mission: To provide comprehensive education and support for new converts to Islam Ahmadiyyat, empowering them to confidently navigate their spiritual journey and integration into the Our community.

Who is a Nau Mubai’in –

  • Nau Mubai’in applies to all new converts in Jamaat Ahmadiyya who have completed their initiation (Baiat) on or after January 1, 2022.
  • New Immigrants are not Nau Mubai’in.

1. Showing Love and Brotherhood:

And it is by the great mercy of Allah that thou art kind towards them, and if thou hadst been rough and hard-hearted, they would surely have dispersed from around thee. So pardon them and ask forgiveness for them, and consult them in matters of administration… Quran 3: 160

  1. Welcome Program (Brotherhood System - Muakhaat.)

  • Hadhrat Promised Messiah(a.s.) would often personally welcome new converts to the community, shaking their hands, and offering words of encouragement.
  • Spiritual guidance: Again, he would provide new converts with spiritual guidance, teaching them about Islamic principles, and helping them to develop a strong spiritual foundation.

  1. Welcome Program (Brotherhood System - Muakhaat)

Zaim:

  • Shall work with Jamaat Sadr to assign a Muakhaat/ buddy/ mentor to new convert within 1-2 weeks of receiving new converts information.
  • Introduce new converts in Ansar general meeting and allow him 1 -2 minutes to introduce himself. When: the 1st meeting a new convert attends.

b. Social integration

Zaim:

  • should take the initiative to invite new converts to their homes to set an example. If not possible, suggest to someone who can host and together with new converts visit that member’s home.
  • This should be done at least 2 to 3 times a year in different homes.

2. Embrace Cultural Sensitivity

  • Zaim shall make sure meetings are conducted in English to accommodate new converts
  • Zaim shall regularly conduct diversity and sensitivity training and discussion during meetings to enhance mutual understanding amongst local members of Majlis Ansarullah.

Choosing a Muakhaat/Mentor:

  • Someone with outgoing personality and active in Majlis
  • Well versed in Islamic principles
  • Ability to communicate and engage with a new convert
  • Have a good understanding of the cultural sensitivities of new converts

Responsibilities of Mentors will include:

  • Regularly check-in (weekly)
  • Offer Support
  • Find common interest and activities to engage in outside of Jamaat
  • Encourage participation in Jamaat activities.

*Mentors shall register at a link that will be provided later to capture all active mentors.

3. Establish Structured Programs

  • Muntazim:
  • create a study circle program based on new converts syllabus, work with local Murabi to start weekly classes at least 60 minutes or as needed. It can be in person or zoom.
  • Shall help new converts establish special relationships with Khilafat by writting letters and listening to khutuba. Encourage new convert to watch MTA regularly.
  • Shall help new converts familiarise with Alislam.org website.

Continue……

  • Inform new converts of any upcoming events such as Jalsa, local, regional and national Ijtima.
  • Encourage them to attend and participate in the above mentioned events.
  • Work with a new convert to ensure full integration into the local majlis.
  • Communicate with Zaim and National Nau Mubai’in department of progress and challenges that may arise.
  • Inform and encourage Nau Mubai’in to take surveys

3. Establish Structured Programs

  • National Department Responsibility:
    • developing national syllabus for Ansar new converts
    • work with local muntazimeen to bring new converts to all national functions such as international & National Jalsa and Ijtema.
    • If necessary, the department will solicit financial support to arrange for transportation and accommodation to national events
    • Shall conduct survey on nau mubai’in involvement and progress..

3. Establish Structured Programs

  • Annual New Converts Fellowship Retreat:
    • Annual spiritual retreat will be organized for new converts to learn and share their experiences with one another and provide feedbacks on matter relating to their growth and involvement in the community.
    • National Office will arrange visits to any majlis where there is a large concentration of new converts
    • Naib Qaid, New Converts, shall be responsible for surveys and data collection on nau mubai’in and mentors engagement.
