Problem

Buckner employees have to complete required training modules before operations of the various cranes
Crane operators use iPads to access their training modules and the current training modules page has too many hoops to jump through
Current site is outdated and has cluttered UI components
Hard for operators to use the current site to complete and track their courses
Their current LMS provider is hard to work with and the site is not customizable.

Solution

Create a simple, user facing site to show operators what courses they are assigned to
Shows which ones user have left to do and which ones they have already completed
Will give Buckner more customization in the future

User Stories

As an employee:

I want to be able to see active courses assigned to me so I can plan accordingly and stay up to date with my progress.
I want to be able to track courses so I can know each courses due dates.
I want to see certifications for past courses so I know and have a record of what courses I have already completed.

As a Manager:

I want to be able to see the courses that I assign to employees so I can verify that my employees have access to the necessary training materials.
I want to be able to track my employees progress so I can ensure courses are finished by their due dates.

As an Admin:

I want to be able to provide IT support for the website so I can address technical issues when they arise.
I want to be able to manually override processes so that I have the flexibility to make necessary training adjustments.
