The funeral by yungblud
The inspiration from this is taken from the introduction of the video.
The marriage story
The inspiration behind this one is the relationship behind the characters and how toxic it is, that would be the vibes given off by the two characters when the story of their 'relationship' is shown
Three act structure
Act 1: would be in the funeral setting but then switch into a hpuse/ apartment setting and then back to the funeral setting
Act 2: would be more focused on the apartment setting but for the chorus flick to the funeral setting
Act 3: would remain in a funeral type setting until it moves past into a field setting
All acts would follow along with the lyrics creating a story with them

Earthy colour tones with the exception person B who has a very light colouring.
The funeral setting would be outside and well lit in contrast to the darkness which comes with a funeral.

Narrative
For this song, it follows a storyline that links quite a lot with the lyrics of the music video.
The music video follows a three act structure.
Act one would include intertextuality of the music video for 'The funeral' by YUNGBLUD. This would be done by showing a black open casket in a black/ blue background, this would be showcased the same way it is done in the music video, close-up of the hands, which is then panned over to the face it would then be a close-up of another person smirking, it then pans out to a master shot of the full scene of a person dressed in white over a black casket with another person inside. That would be the intro of the song as the music starts but before the lyrics.
Once the lyrics starts the video then pans over to a setting of seats, all full apart from one with a white reserved sticker on it. It then moves back to person A sat up looking over the seats. The video would then change to accompany the lyrics, over the head shot of person A and B laying in a bed together, A close-up on A as they turn to face B then out to a mid, overhead shot of A alone in the bed. Then for the small instrumental between verse 1 and 2 it cuts back to the funeral setting.
As verse two starts it cuts to a scene of A and B in an argument in a kitchen setting the camera passing along, over to the next shot of then A and B in a room with two older people, where in this setting A is the only person looking visibly upset in the situation.
Then the chorus comes into play, it then moves to back to the funeral setting and shows A climbing out of the casket and getting ready to run down the aisle and then running down the aisle, all this would be slowed down in post.
[Verse 1]Would you come to my funeralAnd mourn the me you never knew?Just cause we loved each other onceThink one night I'll wake up next to youBe mad if I did or didn'tThen get told at least the effort counts[Verse 2]I can't relate to motherhoodMaybe I'm scared they'll turn out like meYou believed I would never settle downThat's why I called you darling to youAll my parentsThey made me scared to love[Chorus]But would you come to my funeral? There's a seat laid out for youI couldn't pass without telling youThat I miss youThat I don't want toThat I miss youThat I don't want toThat I miss you
Act 2
[Verse 3]You'll be gone as soon as I get betterWe can speak till I'm not soberIs it why I look forward to sleeping? Is it why I'm sad I'm happy it's over?I wonder if you're still smokingJust to get a kick out of me[Verse 4]Why'd they always go for someone youngerOnce I begin to step away?Did my wisdom hurt a little much?Is their innocence the reason you stay?I wish you would post some moreSo I could know if[Chorus]You would come to my funeralThere's a seat laid out for youI couldn't pass without telling youThat I miss youThat I don't want toThat I miss youThat I don't want toThat I miss you
For the third verse, we see A walking into a room, closing the door behind them and then falling backwards into bed with their hands in their hair in a frustrated manor, the camera panning over to B by the window it then transitions into the forth Verse by panning through a wall.
For the forth verse we get a close up of a phone screen, with B and another person together, it them zooms back to an over the shoulder shot of A starring at the phone from behind before they scroll on their phone implied to Be on Bs
The chorus then would flick back to where the video cut off from act one of A running in slow motion, it would be continued on through this chorus.
Act 3
[Bridge]Had I known you if I had the chanceLike a stranger looking backBut if I knew I was dyingYou'd be the first person I'd callI say I never think of youBut I don't know who I'm lying toIf I only had ten minutesI'd give you it all[Chorus]If you came to my funeralThere's a seat laid out for youI couldn't pass without telling youThat I miss youThat I don't want toThat I miss youThat I don't want toThat I miss you[Outro]That I don't want toThat I miss youThat I don't want toThat I want you
The bridge would continue on from the chorus of A running in slow motion down the aisle and eventually past the funeral goers, the camera angle would then move to from behind A as they still, the camera moving slightly round A to reveal B, both just stand starring at each other solemnly. For the chorus it continues on from the previous scene but the camera slowly turning around to face A and when the outro hits they drop the flowers they have been holding.
The scene would then focus on the flowers on the floor as A walks back in the background.
