Brief of Our Project

  • SMART Goal: Raising Awareness of the 80% people of Tula Tuli Community to reduce Child Labor
  • Location: Tula Tuli (Kuddus Colony to Professors Colony)
  • No. of Beneficiaries: 82 people
  • Age Range: 15 – 35 (Men, Women, Teenagers)
  • LIA time period: 19 days (3:30 pm – 6:00 pm)

Objectives

  • 50% Children of Tulatuli are involved with some kind of work.
  • Our target: To raise awareness of at least 80 people about Child Labor.
  • Sessions: Necessity of Child Education and Negative Impacts of Child Labor.

  • We looked for Financial Sponsors.
  • One company agreed for logistics and financial help.
  • Raised fund from our respective universities.
  • Raised fund through social media.
  • BYLC provided us fund
  • We used 4700 BDT in total

  • Two sessions divided into two groups
  • First day: 30 people were present (beneficiaries: 10)

  • Each group had a discussion based on a story and questionnaire regarding child labor
  • 80% responded positively and 10% responded negatively
  • We got to know how much people understood about child labor and different solutions

  • Each group had different aged people and at least one beneficiary

    • Each group drew a picture of what they think about child labor
    • Beneficiaries helped the children to get a proper insight

    • Guardian’s support can help the children to get what they want

Challenges

Our Challenges:

  • Starting the sessions on time.
  • Grasping their attention until the end of the session.
  • Controlling the children.

​

Challenges of Community people:

  • Women have multiple household works that time
  • Many children have schools/ coaching that time
  • Because of the chaos of the children, some beneficiaries could not concentrate
