The Valley of Dry Bones

​

In Ezekiel 37 we read about a vision that God gave to the prophet Ezekiel. It was a message for the people of Israel. W hat Ezekiel saw did not actually happen – it was a prophecy using picture language. Ezekiel lived at the time of the captivity in Babylon, so this vision was given almost 600 years before Jesus’ birth. The vision has three separate stages.

1. In the vision Ezekiel saw an open valley with a huge number of very dry bones scattered over the valley floor.

2. In the vision God told Ezekiel to prophesy to these bones and, with a great noise, the bones came together, until there were many complete skeletons. Bones came

3. In the final part of the vision

God told Ezekiel to prophesy to the

wind so that the dead bodies would

وادی استخوان‌های خشک

در باب ۳۷ کتاب حزقیال در مورد رویایی که خدا به حزقیال نبی داد، می‌خوانیم. این رویا پیامی‌ برای مردم اسرائیل بود. آنچه حزقیال در رویا دید به وقوع نپیوست. این تنها یک پیشگویی بود که در آن از زبان تصویری استفاده شده بود. حزقیال در زمان به اسارت رفتن مردم به بابل زندگی می‌کرد. بنابراین این رویا حدود 600 سال قبل از میلاد مسیح به او داده شده بود. رویا سه بخش متفاوت داشت:

1. در رویا حزقيال وادی بزرگی را دید که در آن استخوان‌هایی خشک بر روی زمین پراکنده بودند.

2. در رویا خدا به حزقیال گفت که بر استخوان‌ها نبوت کند و با صدایی استخوان‌ها به هم پیوستند تا جایی که چندین اسکلت کامل تشکیل شد. حزقیال دید که ماهیچه و گوشت به اسکلت‌ها پیوست و بعد پوست

روی آنها را پوشانید و جسد کامل تشکیل شد.

3. در قسمت آخر این رویا خــــدا به حــــزقیال گفت که

بر باد نبوت کند تا اجساد پر از نفس شوند. به محض

وارد شدن نفس به اجساد آنها بلند شده و به زندگــــــی

بازگشتند و به ارتش عظیمی ‌تبدیل شدند.

Stage 1 – This has already taken place. Soon after New Testament times the Jews were scattered among the nations of the world (as explained at the end of Lesson 13). They were scattered for nearly 2,000 years and suffered terrible persecutions during this time. Stage 2 – From about 1850 onwards, the people of Israel started to return to their land. In 1917 the Balfour Declaration was signed by the British government, which was at that time in control of the land of Palestine (Israel). This was a promise that Britain would make the land of Palestine a national home for the Jews. However, it was only after Hitler came to power in Germany that the Jews started returning in large numbers. These were mainly European Jews who had survived terrible persecutions under Hitler. Because of their sufferings they wanted to move to the land of Israel and have a country of their own, where they would be free from persecution. In 1948 the State of Israel was declared. Jews are still returning to the land.

وقوع پیوستن رویا

مرحله اول - این اتفاق افتاده است. کمی‌ پس از شروع عهد جديد، ملت اسرائیل در میان امت‌ها پراکنده شدند (همانطور که در انتهای درس ۱۳ توضیح داده شد). آنها حدود ۲۰۰۰ سال پراکنده بودند و متحمل زجرها و عذاب‌های بسیاری شدند.

مرحله دوم - از سال 1850 مردم اسرائیل شروع به بازگشت به سرزمین خود کردند. در سال 1917 بیانیه بالفور توسط دولت بریتانیا امضا شد. در آن زمان سرزمین فلسطين (اسرائیل) تحت کنترل بریتانیا بود. این بیانیه عهدی بود که به طبع آن بریتانیا موظف شد تا سرزمین فلسطین را بعنوان خانه یهودیان بداند. اگرچه بعد از به قدرت رسیدن هیتلر در آلمان بود که یهودیان شروع به بازگشت کردند. این جمعیت‌ شامل یهودیان اروپایی بودند که از شکنجه‌های هیتلر نجات پیدا کرده بودند. به دلیل شکنجه‌های زیاد آنها می‌خواستند که به سرزمین اسرائیل بازگردند و برای خود خانه‌ای داشته باشند تا بتوانند از تمام آزار و اذیت‌ها خلاص شوند. در سال 1948 دولت اسرائیل به رسمیت شناخته شد. یهودیان همچنان در حال بازگشت به سرزمین خود هستند.

These events happened under God’s control. The Old Testament prophet Jeremiah showed that the Jews would survive and return to their land. So stage 2 is being fulfilled now, in our lifetime.

تمامی ‌این اتفاقات تحت کنترل خدا بود. در عهد عتیق ارمیای نبی گفته بود که یهودیان نجات پیدا خواهند کرد و به سرزمین خود باز‌می‌گردند. پس مرحله دوم نیز در زمان ما به حقیقت پیوسته است.

(ارمیا 30: 11)

"زیرا من با تو هستم تا تو را نجات بخشم؛ خداوند چنین می‌فرماید؛ قوم‌هایی را که تو را در میانشان پراکنده ساختم، به تمامی ‌نابود خواهم کرد؛ اما تو را به تمامی‌ نابود نخواهم ساخت. تو را بی‌سزا نخواهم گذاشت، اما تأدیب تو به اندازه خواهد بود"

Jeremiah 30:11

“ For I am with you to save you, declares the LORD; I will make a full end of all the nations among whom I scattered you, but of you I will not make a full end ”

(ارميا 31: 10)

"ای قومها، کلام خداوند را بشنوید، و آن را در سرزمین‌های دور دستِ ساحلی اعلام کنید بگویید: آن که اسرائیل را پراکنده ساخت، ایشان را گرد می‌آوَرَد و چنانکه شبان گلۀ خویش را می‌پایَد، او نیز از ایشان مراقبت خواهد کرد"

Jeremiah 31:10

“ He who scattered Israel will gather him, and will keep him as a shepherd keeps his flock ”

Stage 3 – This has not happened yet. Most Jews today do not accept that Jesus Christ is God’s Son and their promised Messiah. They are still waiting for a different Messiah. They do not recognise that God is in control of world events and working out His purpose through them. But the time will come when the nation of Israel will have a change of heart. Zechariah 14:2-4 shows why! .

مرحله 3 - این مرحله هنوز به حقیقت نپیوسته است. اکثر یهودیان عیسی مسیح را بعنوان پسر خدا و مسیح وعده داده شده نمی‌پذیرند و هنوز در انتظار مسیح دیگری هستند. آنها هنوز متوجه این امر نشده‌اند که خدا تمام اتفاقات دنیا را تحت نظر دارد و به واسطه مردمانش نقشه‌هایش را اجرا می‌کند و زمانی می‌رسد که مردم اسرائیل تغییر خواهند کرد. زکریا 14: 2-4 دلیل آن را به ما می‌گوید:

God will rescue the Jews by sending the Lord Jesus. They will realise that he has returned from heaven and saved them. At last they will recognise him as God’s Son and their promised Messiah, and they will realise how wrong their nation was to crucify him. The prophet Zechariah tells us:

“… when they (the Jews) look on me, on him whom they have pierced, they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for an only child” (12:10). Many of the people of Israel will repent of their nation’s sin – they will have a change of heart and accept Christ Jesus as their king. In Ezekiel 37:21-25 God says,

“… I will take the people of Israel from the nations among which they have gone … I will make them one nation in the land … one king shall be king over them all … They shall not defile themselves anymore with their idols and their detestable things, or with any of their transgressions … I will cleanse them; and they shall be my people, and I will be their God …

با فرستادن عیسی مسیح خدا یهودیان را نجات خواهد داد. آنها متوجه بازگشت او از آسمان برای نجاتشان خواهند شد و در نهایت متوجه خواهند شد که او پسر خدا و مسیح وعده داده شده است و در می‌یابند که امت‌شان هنگامیکه او را به صلیب می‌کشیدند، مرتکب چه اشتباهی شدند. زکریای نبی به ما می‌گوید:

بسیاری از مردم اسرائیل برای گناه امت‌شان توبه خواهند کرد. آنها تغییر خواهند کرد و مسیح را بعنوان پادشاه خود خواهند پذیرفت. در حزقیال 37: 21-25 خدا می‌گوید:"بدیشان بگو خداوندگارْ یهوه چنین می‌فرماید: اینک من بنی‌اسرائیل را از میان ملتهایی که به میان آنها رفته‌اند، برگرفته، ایشان را از هر طرف جمع خواهم کرد و به سرزمین خودشان باز‌خواهم آورد و آنها را در آن سرزمین، بر کوههای اسرائیل، یک ملت خواهم ساخت و یک پادشاه بر آنان سلطنت خواهد کرد و دیگر دو ملت نخواهند بود و به دو مملکت تجزیه نخواهند شد و خویشتن را دیگر به بتهای بی‌ارزش و چیزهای مکروه و هیچ ‌یک از نافرمانیهای خود نجس نخواهند ساخت، بلکه من ایشان را از همۀ ارتدادی که بدان گناه ورزیده‌اند، نجات داده، طاهر خواهم ساخت؛ آنگاه ایشان قوم من خواهند بود و من خدای ایشان.

They shall walk in my rules and be careful to obey my statutes. They shall dwell in the land that I gave to my servant Jacob, where your fathers lived. They and their children and their children's children shall dwell there for ever …”

The previous of the Valley of Dry Bones, and has chapter (Ezekiel 36) contains the same message as the prophecy the same three stages:

خادم من داوودْ پادشاه ایشان خواهد بود و جملگی یک شبان خواهند داشت و مطابق قوانین من سلوک خواهند کرد و فرایض مرا نگاه داشته، آنها را به جا خواهند آورد و در سرزمینی که به خادم خویش یعقوب بخشیدم ساکن خواهند شد، جایی که پدرانشان مسکن داشتند. ایشان و فرزندان ایشان و فرزندانِ فرزندان ایشان تا ابد در آنجا سکونت خواهند داشت و خادم من داوود تا ابد فرمانروای ایشان خواهد بود" (حزقیال 37: 21-25).

در باب قبل (حزقیال باب 36) پیام مشابهی مانند وادی استخوان‌ها وجود دارد و دقیقا شامل سه مرحله است:

Here is a prophecy about the sufferings of the Jews. It was written about 1,500 BC.

(تثنیه 28: 64-67)

"و خداوند شما را در میان تمامی ‌قومها، از یک کران زمین تا کران دیگر، پراکنده خواهد ساخت. در آنجا خدایانِ غیر را از چوب و سنگ، که نه خود می‌شناختید و نه پدرانتان، عبادت خواهید کرد. در میان آن قومها روی آسایش نخواهید دید و برای کف پایتان جای استراحت نخواهید یافت، بلکه خداوند در آنجا به شما دل لرزان و چشمان کم‌سو و روح پژمرده خواهد داد. جان شما پیش رویتان معلق خواهد بود و شب و روزِ شما در ترس سپری خواهد شد و از زنده ماندن خود مطمئن نخواهید بود. به سبب هراسی که به دل خواهید داشت و چیزهایی که به چشم خواهید دید، صبحگاهان خواهید گفت: کاش که شب می‌شد! و شامگاهان خواهید گفت: کاش که صبح فرا می‌رسید"

Deuteronomy 28:64-67

“ And the LORD will scatter you among all peoples, from one end of the earth to the other ... And among these nations you shall find no respite, and there shall be no resting place for the sole of your foot, but the LORD will give you there a trembling heart and failing eyes and a languishing soul. Your life shall hang in doubt before you. Night and day you shall be in dread and have no assurance of your life. In the morning you shall say, ‘If only it were evening!’ and at evening you shall say, ‘If only it were morning!’ because of the dread that your heart shall feel, and the sights that your eyes shall see. ”

The Jews are God’s witnesses

God wanted the Jews to show the other nations how to serve Him, but they failed and let Him down. But they are still God’s witnesses. God has made many prophecies about them so that other nations can see that He is the living and true God: “Therefore say to the house of Israel, Thus says the Lord GOD: It is not for your sake, O house of Israel, that I am about to act, but for the sake of my holy name, which you have profaned among the nations to which you came. And I will vindicate the holiness of my great name, which has been profaned among the nations, and which you have profaned among them. And the nations will know that I am the LORD, declares the Lord GOD, when through you I vindicate my holiness before their eyes. I will take you from the nations and gather you from all the countries and bring you into your own land” (Ezekiel 36:22-24).

The prophecies about God regathering the Jews to their land were made thousands of years ago. Almost all of the nations that existed when these prophecies were made have disappeared long ago – but the Jews have survived.

یهودیان شاهدان خدا هستند

خدا از یهودیان خواست تا برای دیگر امت‌ها الگویی برای پرستش باشند. اما آنها شکست خوردند و خدا را ناامید کردند. با این حال آنها هنوز شاهدان خدا هستند. خدا با پیشگویی‌های خود در مورد آنها به امت‌های دیگر نشان داد که او خدای راستین و زنده است:

"پس به خاندان اسرائیل بگو، خداوندگارْ یهوه چنین می‌فرماید: ای خاندان اسرائیل، من نه به‌خاطر شما، بلکه به‌خاطر نام قدوس خود عمل خواهم کرد، نامی ‌که شما آن را در میان مللی که به میانشان رفتید، بی‌حرمت ساخته‌اید. من نام عظیم خود را تقدیس خواهم کرد، نامی ‌را که در میان ملتها بی‌حرمت شده است و شما آن را در میان ایشان بی‌حرمت ساخته‌اید؛ و خداوندگارْ یهوه می‌فرماید که چون در میان شما قدوسیت خود را در نظر ملتها آشکار سازم، آنگاه ایشان خواهند دانست که من یهوه هستم. من شما را از میان ملل خواهم گرفت و از همۀ ممالک گرد آورده، به سرزمین خودتان در خواهم آورد " (حزقيال 36: 22-24).

پیشگویی خدا در مورد دوباره جمع کردن یهودیان در سرزمین‌شان مربوط به هزاران سال پیش است. تقریبا تمام ملت‌هایی که در زمان این پیشگویی حضور داشتند، از بین رفته اند. اما یهودیان نجات پیدا کردند.

People have done their best to destroy the Jews. During the Second W orld W ar, Hitler tried to destroy all the Jews in Europe and over six million died in terrible circumstances. Yet the Jews are still here – and back in their land as prophesied, despite the fact that they have been unfaithful to God. The Jews are witnesses to God’s power and authority. They are a sign in today’s world that God does exist and that He is working out His plan for the earth. But, as shown earlier, the Jews will change and not stay unfaithful. As explained in Lesson 11, they will learn God’s ways at the return of Christ. Jeremiah also foretold this: “But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the LORD: I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they shall be my people. And no longer shall each one teach his neighbour and each his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest, declares the LORD. For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more” (Jeremiah 31:33,34).

مردم برای نابود کردن یهودیان تمام تلاش خود را کردند. در زمان جنگ جهانی دوم، هیتلر تمام یهودیان اروپا را از بین برد و بیش از شش میلیون نفر در شرایطی وحشتناک کشته شدند. با این حال یهودیان هنوز وجود دارند و همانطور که پیشگویی شد، با اینکه به خدا ایمان نداشتند، باز هم در حال بازگشت به سرزمین خود هستند. یهودیان شاهدان قدرت و اختیار خدا هستند. آنها نشانه‌ای از این واقعیت‌اند که خدا همچنان وجود دارد و در حال اجرای نقشه‌های خود برای زمین است.

"اما خداوند می‌گوید: این است عهدی که پس از آن ایام با خاندان اسرائیل خواهم بست: شریعت خود را در باطن ایشان خواهم نهاد و بر دلشان خواهم نگاشت و من خدای ایشان خواهم بود و ایشان قوم من خواهند بود. دیگر کسی به همسایه یا به برادرش تعلیم نخواهد داد و نخواهد گفت خداوند را بشناسید. زیرا خداوند می‌گوید، همه از خُرد و بزرگ مرا خواهند شناخت، از آن رو که تقصیر ایشان را خواهم آمرزید و گناهشان را دیگر به یاد نخواهم آورد" (ارمیا 31: 33-34).

What about the Gentiles?

What about the Gentiles? In Old Testament times Gentile believers like Rahab and Ruth were allowed to join the Jews in worshipping the true God. Many Jews in the time of Jesus wrongly thought that God was not interested in the Gentiles. They thought that they alone deserved God’s blessings because they were Abraham’s descendants through Jacob. But God wants everyone, Jews and Gentiles, to repent and be saved. God showed the apostle Peter that Gentiles were included in His plan of salvation (Acts 10). The apostle Paul spent many years travelling to preach to Gentiles. W hen writing to Gentile believers in Rome, Paul used the picture of an olive tree to show that Gentiles can share the blessings promised to Abraham and his descendants. They, like Abraham, can be given immortal life on earth when Christ Jesus returns. Read about the Parable of the Olive Tree in Romans 11 (especially verses 13-25) and note the warnings Paul gives. The parable is about Jews and Gentiles in the purpose of God, and is explained in the following pictures.

غیر‌یهودیان چه خواهند شد؟

در عهد عتیق ایمانداران غیر‌یهودی مانند روت و راحاب اجازه پیوستن به یهودیان در هنگام پرستش را داشتند. یهودیان زیادی در زمان مسیح به اشتباه می‌پنداشتند که خدا هیچ علاقه‌ای به غیر‌یهودیان ندارد. آنها فکر می‌کردند چون از نوادگان ابراهیم و یعقوب بودند، پس تنها خودشان شایستگی برکت خدا را دارند. اما خدا می‌خواهد که همه، اعم از یهودی و غیر‌یهودی توبه کنند و نجات را دریافت نمایند. خدا به پطرس رسول نشان داد که غیر‌یهودیان نیز در نقشه رستگاری و نجات خدا حضور داشتند (اعمال رسولان باب ۱۰).

پولس رسول سالیان درازی را صرف آموزش غیر‌یهودیان کرد. در نامه‌ای به غیر‌یهودیان رومی‌ از تصویر درخت زیتون استفاده کرد تا توضیح دهد که چگونه غیر‌یهودیان می‌توانند در برکات وعده داده شده خدا با ابراهیم و نوادگانش سهیم باشند. آنها نیز همانند ابراهیم می‌توانند در هنگام بازگشت مسیح زندگی جاودان را دریافت کنند. در باب ۱۱ رومیان در مورد مثل درخت زیتون بخوانید (به خصوص آیات ۱۳ تا ۲۵) و به هشدار پولس دقت کنید. این مثل در مورد یهودیان و غیر‌یهودیان است و در شکل زیر توصیف شده است:

خدا با آغوشی باز به یهودیانی که دوباره به او باز‌می‌گردند، خوش آمد می‌گوید (آیه 23).

Some of original Branches can be grafted back in God can welcome back Jews who turn backto him and believe him (verse 23)

The Jews are often in the news because they are still God’s witnesses. The struggle between the Jews and Arabs continues and will draw in other nations. Zechariah 12:3 describes Jerusalem as: “a heavy stone for all the peoples. All who lift it will surely hurt themselves. And all the nations of the earth will gather against it”.

This is when the Lord Jesus will return and bring peace to the earth. Jews and Gentiles will enjoy the blessings of living during the Millennium. Isaiah 19:23-25 shows that this includes people from Arab nations:

“In that day there will be a highway from Egypt to Assyria, and Assyria will come into Egypt, and Egypt into Assyria, and the Egyptians will worship with the Assyrians. In that day Israel will be the third with Egypt and Assyria, a blessing in the midst of the earth, whom the LORD of hosts has blessed, saying, ‘Blessed be Egypt my people, and Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel my inheritance’.”

یهودیان چون همچنان شاهدان خدا می‌باشند، بنابراین هنوز اخبار مربوط به یهودیان به گوش می‌رسد. جنگ میان یهودیان و اعراب همچنان ادامه دارد و به ملت‌های دیگر نیز کشیده می‌شود. زکریا 12: 3 اورشلیم را اینگونه توصیف می‌کند:

"در آن روز اورشلیم را برای همۀ ملتها سنگی بس وزین خواهم ساخت. هر که آن را بلند کند، سخت مجروح خواهد شد. همۀ قومهای جهان بر ضد آن گرد خواهند آمد" (زکریا 12: 3).

این زمانی است که مسیح به زمین باز‌می‌گردد و صلح و سلامتی باز برقرار می‌شود. یهودیان و غیر‌یهودیان از برکات زندگی در هزاره لذت خواهند برد. اشعیا 19: 23-25 نشان می‌دهد که اعراب نیز در این زمان وجود دارند:

"در آن روز شاهراهی از مصر به آشور خواهد بود. آشوریان به مصر و مصریان به آشور خواهند رفت و مصریان با آشوریان عبادت خواهند کرد و در آن روز، اسرائیل متحد سوّم با مصر و آشور خواهد شد و این سه در جهان مایۀ برکت خواهند بود و خداوندِ لشکرها ایشان را برکت داده، خواهد گفت: قوم من مصر و صنعت دستم آشور و میراثم اسرائیل مبارک باشند" (اشعیا 19: 23-25).

خلاصه

Summary

• یهودیان برای حدود ۲۰۰۰ سال در میان امت‌ها پراکنده بودند و در این زمان رنج‌های زیادی را متحمل شدند.
