METHOD | Web survey. |
RESPONDENTS | A total of 1,843 Canadians aged 18 or older were surveyed. |
WHEN? | Fieldwork for the survey was carried out from February 20th to March 3rd, 2023 |
MARGIN OF ERROR | A margin of error cannot be associated with a non-probability sample in a panel survey. For comparison purposes, a probability sample of this size would have a margin of error ±2.28%, 19 times out of 20. |
WEIGHTING | Based on data from Statistics Canada’s 2021 census, weighting was done according to age, gender, province, education, spoken language, presence of children in the household, and belonging to a community that is most affected by climate change or not, to help readjust the sample for minor imbalances. |
SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCES | Numbers in bold and red indicate a significantly inferior difference from the complement, whereas numbers in bold and green indicate a significantly superior difference from the complement. |
ROUNDING
The data presented has been rounded. Therefore, totals may differ slightly from 100%.
SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCES
Results with significant and relevant differences are indicated in a text box next to the presentation of the overall results.
