METHODOLOGY

METHOD

Web survey.

RESPONDENTS

A total of 1,843 Canadians aged 18 or older were surveyed.

WHEN?

Fieldwork for the survey was carried out from February 20th to March 3rd, 2023

MARGIN OF ERROR

A margin of error cannot be associated with a non-probability sample in a panel survey. For comparison purposes, a probability sample of this size would have a margin of error ±2.28%, 19 times out of 20.

WEIGHTING

Based on data from Statistics Canada’s 2021 census, weighting was done according to age, gender, province, education, spoken language, presence of children in the household, and belonging to a community that is most affected by climate change or not, to help readjust the sample for minor imbalances.

SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCES

Numbers in bold and red indicate a significantly inferior difference from the complement, whereas numbers in bold and green indicate a significantly superior difference from the complement.

ROUNDING

The data presented has been rounded. Therefore, totals may differ slightly from 100%.

SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCES

Results with significant and relevant differences are indicated in a text box next to the presentation of the overall results.
