Led by expert trainers, The purpose of this in person session is to bring together experienced chairs and facilitate discussion between them, encourage information-sharing and provide a networking opportunity.

Compared with the Effective Chairing Skills course, there will be less emphasis on teaching and presentation, with the convenors rather facilitating discussions and supplementing conversations where necessary, including with appropriate material from the first course.

When should you attend this course?

  • Established – As a chair, you understand the core principles of the topic and have put these into practise. You have probably picked up a thing or two along the way but are looking to find out what other chairs in the sector also know and share knowledge.
  • Expert – You are an experienced chair who as well as wanting to find out a few anecdotes from others are happy to share knowledge you’ve learnt in the process and expand your network.
