I’m Michele Carroll, ED of ISSIP and will share key measures of ISSIP’s performance. Our goal as an organization is for our growing global community to leverage ISSIP platform and programs to benefit your work - to benefit our interconnected world. We measure that progress in terms of the size of our global community, the funding level we’re able to achieve to enable ops and programs, and by community ENGAGEMENT in our programs, leveraging the ISSIP platform to amplify your work.

So in terms of FUNDING - the very good news is that every 2024-2025 donor/partner renewed, most at increased levels of funding. And we secured 2 new donor partners - much thanks to Haluk Demirkan for signing with Sound Credit Union and Obase (Excellence in SI winners in 2023). We’re welcoming our first Innovation Level partner ($10K) with Fraunhofer Institute’s Jens Neuheuttler who joins the board of directors with goals we’re excited to support. and President’s ‘Ask’ in the Fall of 2025 generated $3.3K from individual ISSIPrs around the world. So MUCH THANKS to all of YOU: Fraunhofer IAO, the Institute for Service Design (Markus Warg), PSU, SJSU and UW and all of you contributing from $100 to $500 individually. SO much appreciated.

Our Progress calls twice a year focus primarily on progress, achievements and recognition of volunteers in the past 6 months. But as we recognize outgoing president Deb Stokes of Dell Technologies, I want to note that 2024-2025 - the 2 years of her tenure as president were STRONG growth years in important ways: BOTH growing awareness of ISSIP and in strengthening us in ways critical to sustain and achieve growth - which she calls the SCAFFOLDING for growth (which we’ll talk about more in June: documenting service roles, improving onboarding to the organization, automating where possible). # of global participants in ISSIP is a critical metric of success. There’s more value to everyone in the community when there are more of us to serve as resources for each other. The chart shows # of global participants from 2021 to now - Jan 2026 - and the blue line continues to show the stead growth ISSIP has enjoyed since its founding.We’ve just crossed the 2000 mark at 2043 in 76 countries! The RED line is LI followers which was 552 in 2021 and 1597 today, SHARPLY up since we began promoting it in 2023 (when we piloted the AI Collab involving so many from all those partner organizations as well as our increasingly large # of active ambassadors). and now we’re promoting the PRIVATE LI ISSIP GROUP you see on the yellow line - up now to 743 members. Please FOLLOW Us on the Main ISSIP page, and JOIN the private ISSIP GROUP if you haven't already. THis is where you can post your work, get feedback, do surveys, announce events, share knowledge. ISSIP itself announces partnerships, collaborations, key success stories and recognitions from the main page.

One caution i want to put out there. We rebuilt and optimized our website in 2024, for search engines and continue to rank in the top 10 listings for ‘service innovation.’ But it was the top 5 in 24. We’re #8 today and seo takes daily committed focus - either a skilled volunteer or some budget required.

In measuring engagement - yes there are more OF us, registrations and views of YouTube and SlideShare are UP - but i want to point out a critical improvement in the past year on DEEPER engagement driven by our very capable and impressive leaders - all ISSIP ambassadors. David Ing/Gary Metcalf’s RT on Service Systems, Kevin Clark’s Customer Fitness event in March all drew dozens of participants and then hundreds on YouTube and SlideShare afterward – building awareness of ISSIP as a expert resource in knowledge sharing and service systems. Frank Melis’ SMRT.bio/ISSIP Challenge in S. Africa engaged 26000 students from CUT (Central University of technology in S. Africa) and Kevin Clark (+UX team Mike Wing and Chaundra) gave generously of their time and use of their UX platform to enable ALL of ISSIP everywhere in the world to participate around the clock 24/7 for a several day ISSIP Treasure Hunt - sharing ideas and input for our future. Those were impressive and important projects. And Vaishali Mane who piloted our Give get Grow quarterly sharing program last year, has now established it as an ongoing program -giving new members of the community the opportunity to better connect. All new signups are invited and all ISSIP participants are welcome every quarter. You’ll see the dates on the ISSIP Events page and calendar. THIS is what we mean by volunteer led and managed. and meanwhile left to right along the bottom ofo this slide you see that YOU published 8 books in the past 6 months, bringing this total ISSIP collection with free guidance and mentoring by Jim Spohrer and Haluk Demirkan to 113 to date. we’re welcoming a net 25 NEW ambassadors for 147 total currently active. We awarded 159 digital credentials in the past 6 months for 964 TTL. As we work on building awareness and growing the funding for ISSIP operations, we’re equally working to better connect with each other and amplify your work – leveraging the ISSIP platform to make the difference you’re seeking.
