2023 Swim Season Parent Information

Who We Are

• Non-profit organization
• Developmental team focused on sportsmanship, fun & trying your best!
• Run by resident volunteers & trained coaches
• Swimmers ages 5-18 by June 1st. Must be able to swim the length of our pool (25 yds) unassisted
• Volunteer & leadership opportunities
• Part of St. Johns Summer Swim League
• Swimmers have gone on to compete at high school and college levels

Registration

• March 13: Open to Heritage Landing Residents
• March 27: Open to Non-Residents
• April 15: Registration Closes
• Fees:
• $205 – 1^st swimmer
• $185 – 2^nd swimmer
• $165 – additional swimmers
• Non-residents: $20/swimmer
• All swimmers: $28 League Fee

• Limited to 132 swimmers total
• If we reach that limit before April 15^th, we will start a Wait List on first come, first served basis
• Last year we reached capacity – REGISTER EARLY!

Practices

After School Practices:

• April 17- May 25
• Mon, Tues & Thurs.
• 4:45 – 5:45pm: 9 – 12 y.o.
• 5:45 – 6:45pm: 8 & under
• 6:45 – 7:45pm: 13 & up

Summer Morning Practices:

• May 31 – July 14
• Tues – Fri
• 7 – 8am: 8 & under
• 8 – 9am: 9 – 12 y.o.
• 9 – 10am: 13 & up

​

Swimmers should bring towel, goggles & water bottle to practice. Shoes MUST be worn to & from practice.

Swim Meets

• May 13: Virtual vs. Bartram Springs
• June 3: Away @ Murabella
• June 10: Away @ Shearwater
• June 24: Home w/ St. John’s
• July 8: Home w/ Rivertown

Swimmers should wear team suit & team t-shirt to meets.

Swim Gear

• Each swimmer will receive 1 FREE team shirt

​

• Each NEW swimmer will receive 2 FREE swim caps

​

• Each swimmer should have 1 team suit
• Available to purchase through our online store
• Team suits should be worn to all meets (not necessary for practice)

​

• All swimmers are encouraged to purchase one good fitting pair of goggles

​

• Additional swim caps and team shirt for the family can be ordered through our online store

Volunteers

• We depend on parent volunteers to run our meets & cannot do it without you
• Each family will be required to fulfill 5 volunteer points throughout the season
• Each job is worth 1-2 points
• You will sign up for jobs at registration

​

Volunteer Positions

​

No experience/training required. You will receive instruction day of your shift.

Most worth 1 point.

​

• Head Timer: Keeps time during races, helps timers
• Timer: Keeps time during races
• Meet Marshall: Directs traffic at meets
• Gate Marshall: Mans open pool gates at meets
• Runner: Helps computer operators & other volunteers
• Ready Bench Assistant: Helps line up swimmers
• Flip Chart: Flips event & heat number signs
• Heat Ribbons: Gives heat winner ribbons to swimmers
• Volunteer Check-In: Checks in volunteers
• Set-Up: Sets up for home meets
• Clean-Up: Cleans up after home meets
• Banquet Volunteers: Various positions to help with our end-of-season banquet
