Challenge #3

Gratitude Jar

One of the emotional benefits of practicing gratitude is that you will be less envious of what others have.

Make a gratitude jar and every day this month think of what you were most grateful for that day.

Write it down on a strip of paper and put it in the jar.

If you’re feeling down, jealous, angry… reach in and take grateful moment out of the jar, and read it to remind yourself about what is important and what you are thankful for.

You can also make time on Thanksgiving to take turns reading all the gratitude notes in the jar.

Challenge #5 Gratitude Meditation

Gratitude meditation is a type of meditation that focuses on expressing gratitude for the things in your life.

By doing a grateful meditation and looking inward to find things you like about yourself, you can boost your self-esteem and have a happy, healthy, grateful heart. It can be a quick 10 second meditation or longer if you have the time.

A simple way to meditate is just to reflect on all the people and things you are grateful for? Studies show positive effects on the brain and mood with just minutes of a gratitude meditation.
