PantherFIT is a mobile-first fitness app designed to enhance the Clemente Center’s gym experience for users. Gym-goers can access personalized workout plans, track progress, view equipment tutorials, and monitor real-time gym traffic using Google location API.
PantherFit aims to address common gym challenges like overcrowding, lack of guidance, and difficulty tracking progress. It creates a smarter, more supportive gym environment tailored to individual needs.
- Enhance the gym-goer experience by offering personalized workout plans, instructional videos, real-time gym occupancy data, and progress tracking tools.
- Support beginner and advanced users through guided exercise demos, customizable plans, and live workout tracking to promote consistency and confidence.
- Empower gym administrators with real-time analytics dashboards, equipment usage tracking, class performance insights, and automated reporting for data-driven decision-making.
- Ensure seamless, secure, and accessible usage across iOS and Android devices through a mobile-first design, reliable API integration, and optimized performance.
Best Time API aims to:
- Help users avoid peak hours by providing real-time or historical gym occupancy data.
- Improve workout efficiency by allowing users to plan visits during less crowded times.
- Enhance user experience by reducing wait times for equipment and creating a more comfortable gym environment.
Thank you to Dr. Chan and Dr. Nembhard for their continued assistance and support throughout the project.
With the current model of PantherFIT, gym-users can:
- create a profile which tracks your gym progress over time.
- receive workout recommendations based on desired goal.
- log workouts done outside of the personally generated plans.
- determine the best time to go to the gym based on how busy the Clemente Center’s gym is.
- receive badges based on various criteria to keep them engaged.
- What it does: Allows users to record sets, reps, and weights for each exercise, generating visual progress charts and exporting workout data as needed.
- Why it’s important: Enables users to track performance over time, monitor progressive overload, and stay accountable to their fitness goals.
