    • We will be opening the UC application TOGETHER this Wednesday (9/30) for those who would like support.

  • Center yourself on your ideal post-secondary path.
    1. For those choosing a 4 year college/university or community college:
      1. It’s time to figure out which major or program you may want to study.
      2. Remember, every 4 college/university and community college offers something different.
    2. For those not planning to apply to college:
      • NOW is the time to start working out your plan.
        1. If military, which branch?
        2. If job, where?
        3. If other, plan out your next steps!

  • Decide a general field of what you would like to study or explore your ideal career paths and its educational requirements.
    • Use Naviance as a resource!!
      • Check out this video!
        • Click on career home.
          1. Use this to explore and find related majors.
          2. Remember, if you want to be a doctor or lawyer, you don’t major in medicine or law in undergrad- YOU CAN CHOOSE ANYTHING!

    • Hint, if you met with me, it is located in a friendly google doc that looks like this.
    • For those not planning to apply to college: NOW is the time to keep working out your plan.

  • Once you know a major or a few major options, reference your college list.
    • Google the school name and majors, example: “Sonoma State majors”
      • It should give you the link of the individual schools major choices.
        • EXPLORE.
        • See if you like the classes you would be required to take.
        • WRITE IT DOWN next to the school name on a google doc so you remember your choice when we are applying!
