Defining “Webizen”

The Webizen Project aims to produce a new class of computing devices. The ecosystem and its primary interface; are Artificial AI creatures, that have an array of particular qualities, that i call Webizen.

Although this may develop overtime to improve the nomenclature

  1. An illustration of an approach that seeks to provide a platform to invent a future kind of socially-aware AI computing infrastructure.
  2. The Future Human Cyber-Social Experience. What is hoped to be achieved.
  3. The Societal, Socio-Economic and Technical Challenges needed to be overcome to achieve that goal.
  4. The stages that are envisaged to be undertaken to reach that future goal

This Presentation will provide an overview of the following;

The Concept of Webizen, as a class of computing device, system and linked Ai Agents; is now, the subject of ‘how they shall be defined’. These works perform this task and is sought to grow, collaboratively and this presentation is the first presentation describing the broader concepts…

There are many aspects being worked through;from ‘version 1’ to next generation computing outcomes that are affordable & safe, for anyone who wants to get one. This in-turn ties, to the economic solutions that are empowered as a consequence of having produced them. Enjoy!

The Objective: A Vision of the Future

Imagine… before 2030…

You go down the shop and purchase yourself a Webizen.

Your Webizen comes in a box, you buy it, you own it.

It's not a service. You figure out which one best suits you,

you buy it and take it home, plugging it into your network.

You set it up as the internet server for your

home, and start to configure it on one of your devices.

When you connect it to your computer, tablet, phone, etc.

it downloads a client. Which then helps you configure your Environment.

The Primary Client, is your Ai Robot. You can interact with it naturally or technically, to help you set it up. It provides an interface to design how you want your AI Robot to Look, Sound and Serve you and manage your ‘cyber realm’ as an ‘agent’, that is natively designed to be far better at it, as your software agent; it is not your ‘digital twin’, rather, it is your thing, your Webizen...

But that’s not all your webizen (server) does for you. It's also a “Sustainable Intelligent Internet” (Personal) Server. It has a vault for your precious files, It has advanced Personal Artificial Intelligence Services Built on top of an AI OS, and it provides Safe IoT, Internet Hosting & Cyber Services.

3 of 41

Your Webizen is expected to save you money, supports your means to radically improve your productivity and in-turn also, protect the human rights of yourself & your loved ones.

The Webizen Ecosystem, is not about a synthetic human being, some sort of artificial sentients; rather, webizen are designed to provides you new and improved ways to manage your affairs and activities in relation to our fast changing world. Through the introduction of technology; Webizen acts to improve the use of your time, your capital and your resources.

Webizen brings about a new form of computing platform that is built to democratised AI.

4 of 41

Whilst your Webizen provides you support for your ‘wallet’ needs; it also supports secure storage of digital receipts, contracts, warranty, product information, means to manage your IoT devices and a great deal more; as is required, to keep you (and your children) Safe & Secure, supported by the knowledge that you have evidence and have the right to use it, at any time.

Your Webizen, is an alternative to being defined by ‘your’ “Self Sovereign” (digital) Wallet.

Your Webizen & its Systems help to ensure that you can demonstrate, at any stage, that you & your webizen (AI) are are “much more than just a Wallet”.

WIP - Values

Exposing Dishonesty #RealityCheckTech

Part of the Web Civics & Webizen paradigm, focuses upon support for temporal informatics to protect and support the needs of people, particularly when vulnerable or harmed, due to wrongdoing; as should be radically improved via AI tooling.

What this is basically about, is the way through which there is a means to support temporal accountability & Assessment. This in-turn creates a form of semantic graph that measures the impact of agents who espouse particular values; against the consequential demonstration of what has actually happened; and then, through the use of tools, generate reports that can be quickly and effectively provided to courts of law for lawful recourse.

These values provide support for the underpinnings for our capacity to support - rule of law. Webizen is a systems environment for knowledge systems engineering; it is not suited to ‘information systems’, designed to harmfully exploit others for gainful purposes; as the consequences are in-turn, processed…

Some are best left as ‘sheep’.

To make ‘Cyber’ safer, for skilled artisans, we need to differentiate.

7 of 41

I’m Motivated! Why? Well, what does ‘cyber’ today, actually do to humanity?

I think, the best answer is - not enough! It's Time to Democratise AI to support our needs for peace

Webizen provide a way to get the help you need to manage your life and the impacts brought about by advanced technology. It is like your personally owned ‘information bank’ or ‘knowledge bank’, at a time where it seems that our governments and major corporations have decided that they’d prefer to own and control all the information that is produced about you; and when you really need it, to protect your rights and perhaps even your life; apparently, they know nothing. Whether it be cyber-crime or all sorts of other issues & opportunities - Webizen, is a box, Platform & AI Agent Framework; that provides an entirely new class of computing. This, supports what i was talking about when i referred to the term ‘human centric’, whilst helping to form ‘identity related’ global (open) standards that can now be assembled to deliver an outcome to protect rights and support the radical advancements we need to accomplish, if we are going to meet the international challenges (inc. biosphere, etc) ahead of us.

Do you want to help design webizen to be your remarkable new Cyber Toolchain?…

When “the marketers”, talk about topics like ‘identity’ or ‘Ai Ethics’, they’re often talking about “Global mainframe” (aka ‘cloud’) Commercial Opportunities, ‘Authentication’ or ‘credentials’ like membership cards, or instruments attached to services; but this isn’t really about supporting natural persons “Identity formation, identity development or identity construction”;

A Webizen, is not a wallet designed to define you - it is not a ‘self sovereign identity’, or similar. ‘their versions’, do not consider the importance to people, of ensuring the design of systems assist a person to both support their own needs as a natural person, but more than anything else; the needs of their children; particularly, if, their parental guardian needs to go to a court to protect their child's rights! Webizen, is about supporting Humanity, Art and works that can positively impact billions of people..

Supporting Rule Of Law & Natural Justice.

Increasingly in our lives, technology is used in relation to various forms of experiences we have, that creates recordings of those experiences.

But they’ve not helped us be supplied with a copy of those recordings to protect our own wellbeing, our right to seek lawful remedy for any wrongs that may occur to us. The broad-ranging implications have had a severe impact upon our society at large. Webizen will employ Safety Protocols by Design…

“We are recording this phone call for training and quality control purposes”...

“Just log into our secure system and you’ll have access to the information abou you, that’s vital for your wellbeing.”

“If you are concerned about records we may store about you, we can provide you a link to the freedom of information section where you can ask for a copy”... (a process, too often frustrated & should generally be sought via the privacy act, not the freedom of information act. Yet, the notification lets them strategise first.).

Webizen provides you the means to have your own copy that is cryptographically secured like evidence.

My AI - Activities - What does my Webizen do for me?

  1. It helps you connect to the APIs (developer connections) of web platforms.

It provides you;

  • Storage / Processing / AI Services; for your digital information.
  • a secure way to manage your information & communications
  • A device to locally support the management of your ‘IoT’ environments.
  • An advanced services platform to support various Ai Services, with privacy.
  • The infrastructure you need to better manage your identifiers.
  • The hardware/software system you need, to use next generation applications.
  • A Way to manage your digital evidence in a way to help you protect your safety, welfare and means to resolve issues that may otherwise harm you.

When you buy yourself a Webizen, you own it. It is your property, it is not a service.

10 of 41

Safety

Webizen changes the circumstances of our Cyber Security Landscape; and the objective benefits are thought to be extraordinary significant.

Many people in society experience difficulties; to,

  • Manage Secure Login Credentials,
  • Distinguish the difference between Cyber Attacks and Genuine Communications
  • Protect themselves from Cyber Attacks
  • Seek appropriate & timely lawful recourse for issues that have caused injury.
  • Understand the complexities of the international cyber market & the implications various things have upon a person's life.

Humans are different to AI Agents, Webizen leads to Humans having their own AI Agent, that is designed to serve and protect their needs; as is built, upon values.

11 of 41

SOCIAL IMPLICATIONS - Considerations about the broader objectives for Webizen.

The webizen products; are being designed to deliver an impactful consequence, to address a variety of wicked problems; some, have existed for a very long time, whilst others are emergent.Noam Chomsky noted to me (2018) “The fact that there are pressures and costs does not absolve people of their moral responsibility. The primary custodian of one’s actions is oneself.

The way people do things, is often more important than the ‘outcome’, noting the concept of an outcome, is not usually considered - overtime (ie: repercussive effects, etc.). Whilst i’ve had an instrumental role in creating some of the underlying technologies that now provide a capacity to produce ‘webizen’ (and formerly also - a knowledge banking ecosystem, etc. effectively an enterprise version of the same sort of hting overall); the way public/private sector actors have gainfully behaved - have led to an array of enormous challenges, some are described by the papers below.

12 of 41

A Path towards Democratising AI

Whilst there are a variety of libraries that exist to assist with the job of working to democratise AI; the reality is that there’s not really a market of users, so the S/W hasn’t been produced to support a class of computing (webizen) that don’t already exist today (or anything like it, really).

So, in-order to bring about these ‘artificial intelligence’ systems, that act to patriate human kind with knowledge as a product, rather than solely as a ‘foreign controlled dynamic service’; first, we need the systems to be produced, then developers who want to get involved.

The intention of these systems is to produce an array of particular currency systems, that will support people who spend time doing useful work and indeed also, fund the cost of resources.

In-Effect, this brings about new opportunities for new types of economic models (which in-turn also provide new taxation related revenue streams); that is built to be supportive of human rights, without usury or excessive rents; particularly, in relation to the sorts of things human beings need to be furnished support for all human rights.

In the 1980s, the vast majority of computing systems were built as mainframe computing solutions.

Today, Artificial Intelligence and computing generally, has gone back to its tethered past via new thin clients that are now connected to knowledge owners globally. What Webizen seeks to achieve, is not unlike the introduction of desktop computers, now decades ago.

13 of 41

The First web-server was built on a NeXT Machine which is said to have cost about $15,000USD in Todays money… The Operating system used by apple today, was first produced by NeXT. Tim Berners-Lee & Co; has now made SoLiD - alongside his remarkable works leading the development of various ecosystem components that will be employed by Webizen; but…

He doesn’t have a ‘Webizen’.. there are a variety of applications that can be produced to be uniquely supported, by this modern day webizen solution; that is designed, to perform AI capabilities, privately, locally; and in-turn also, socially with others; as we define how we want to ‘invent’ our Webizen AI agents in ways that are defined to be a form of AI We Want.

A quick study on Silicon Graphics workstations, suggests that at the time they started at about 45k USD In today s money. (1998 reference, recent article about SGI)

In the 90’s, computing power was primarily available via Mainframes; that whilst nothing like the globally networked super-computing infrastructure of modern mainframe like ‘clouds’ today, the consequence is in a way similar; that, there’s an opportunity to start a new form of ‘personal, confidential computing’ ‘personal cloud’ environment, that is empowered by various AI technologies. The machines that were used to produce the foundations for all sorts of work that was instrumental to the computerisation of industry / society, were expensive to units… But, enthusiasts love them.

In-effect; developers needed a platform to produce useful works. The Webizen hardware Specification - creates a platform for developers to design software for that particular type of Hardware / Software ecosystem - purchased, by webizen owners & not necessarily ‘cheap’.

14 of 41

So, whilst the plan is to define a solution that provides a means for people to build a webizen compatible device themselves using off-the-shelf parts; and indeed also,

  • if enterprise (ie: telcos, hosting companies, banks) are willing to ensure people own their own ‘webizen’ environment (aka: knowledge banking ecosystems); then, those sorts of future potential outcomes would be welcomed; however,
  • At the moment, it appears that there’s a need to figure out how to deliver, what is in some ways an ‘office in a box’...
  • So, an element of the plan, is to produce a particular box; that’s a branded solution, that’s expected to be expensive in the early days, whilst we work to build the ecosystem with early adopters who will in-turn use it to produce new ‘components’.

The reason why this is important (for those who don’t code/define ICT stuff); is that developers need to be provided a standard set of Hardware & Software APIs; supported by pre-installed libraries, that form part of what people know of as an ‘operating system’, that ‘app developers’ use (dependencies) when developing new software that leverages those parts. In the near-term, its expected that the customers most interested in getting a webizen, will be advanced users and high-net-worth individuals; who have particular needs webizen can support and the feature, that remind them of Iron-Man.The primary difference between a webizen & ‘cloud’, is that it is a box that is purchased; and the owner owns it, it is not a service, although service can & do run on it. The systems are designed to support local and/or community processing (ai) in ways that support private, confidential ‘personal’ or ‘professional’ AI empowered private cloud computing applications. Yet, the design of this ‘platform’ is about a box, that is connected to an entities (ie: home or business) network, which is then used via their other devices; via assistants that they install, to do ‘ai empowered’ stuff - privately with capability, etc.

A bit of inspiration…Why, you might really want to get one of the very first ones, and how you might use it to create (and/or protect) far more value than it cost to buy and maintain/. An investment that has a value proposition, that’s not unlike the personal ownership of a motor vehicle.

Dev Specs : Defining the H/W & S/W Platform that old-skool geeks will love to use & recommend; to build upon to make a better future for us all.

The “Webizen-Pro” Platform

Built for unbelievable capabilities…Webizen Pro means You Own Your Own Advanced AI Cloud; to power your things, your devices, your work, family, life, finances and digital records.

21 of 41

We Expect Webizen - Pro Solutions to provide enormous value for an array of industry segments. Webizen Pro are configured for the purchasers specific needs, with our value added reseller network.

As we work to support the needs of our customers, we’re working to produce the software solutions required for consumers at large; alongside, next generation solutions.

22 of 41

Right to Repair, Human Dignity & Privacy tech.

The Concept of ‘right to repair’ is about the production of equipment that can be altered by the owner of that equipment. The Alternative spoken about, is circumstances where products that cannot be repaired by the purchaser, causes big problems.

Webizen Hardware/Software Solutions seek to forge the balance between security & ensuring the products are sold to whomever purchases it; Excluding enterprise solutions where customers host other ‘customer’ data - which is provided via a dual-license, encouraging support for human right; or indeed also, warranty related terms (ie: disassembling components may void warranty).

The Hardware requirements will be published publicly, and people will be able to build their own. Yet there will also be strong security measures to ensure the software environment is voided / non-functional if stolen. There are various challenges in this field, that need to be thought though; which is part of the webizen.org / web civics - project objectives. Whilst there’s mechanisms to encourage ‘good behaviour’; the fundamental ‘ethos’ of the concept of webizen, is about providing means, to support human rights; and to ensure, our tools serve us; and not the other way around; including protecting privacy, which is achieved via the production of computing applications that run independent to public cloud services, alongside various other techniques to ensure records have good hygiene.

Image Source: EFF PhotosThe software is sought to be released as an image (users can self-install them); and the aim is to ensure people get paid for useful work they provide without being furnished royalties in perpetuity; save circumstances of software produced by commercial providers that webizen owners can choose whether or not they want to subscribe to it.

Example Use-Cases: Your AI Assistant for Correspondence

  • Do you need to produce Documents for important purpose?

Webizen are designed to support AI services, designed to be supported by many different types of AI Software Developers, who will be able to produce software that makes use of the information you store about yourself, to generate different types of important documents that can be reviewed & modified by you, increasing productivity & improving your means to protect your own wellbeing and safety.

This is particularly important for persons believed to have disabilities - As Artificial Intelligence Systems, operating on top of Verifiable Structure Records are not susceptible to the sorts of issues that human may otherwise be suspected to have. - Replying to Authorities (providing evidence)- Replying to Official Entities (Banks, Insurance Companies, Government / Politics, Law, etc.)

Webizen not only provide the means to rapidly produce evidence, but also, to radically improve the security / confidentiality of how that information is handled by parties via a permission based, accountable & trackable way. This process will include support for generating reports and collating records about any given topic.

24 of 41

Example Use-Cases: Managing (Online) Work & Group Projects.

Do you do some sort of work that involves the use of computers / ICT?

Webizen are designed to support Improved Accounting and business management solutions. They’re designed to support the ability to manage Information in relation to a variety of work types and formats. Webizen can help radically simplify the management of records; including but not limited to,- Websites, Knowledge Management and other Electronic Interfaces- Company Records (Banking, Insurance, Permits / Credentials, Contracts, Tax Records, etc)- Communications, Safety Systems, Value based Accounting systems for Knowledge workers.

Whilst depending on the type of business / work related activities; Owners will either be able to operate their business from a Webizen core (ie: sole trader / unincorporated), or network their private webizen with their work (incorporated legal entity) based webizen network. Webizen provides the AI/IT infrastructure needed to securely support various forms of useful work

25 of 41

So what is involved, before we think about how we’re going to make them?

26 of 41

Assembly of Existing Parts and Linked Scope of Works.

Over the last ~24 years, the vast majority of the parts required have been produced. Whilst technology will always evolve, the challenge of undertaking significant, multi-year projects to establish the software technologies needed to bring about webizen - has now, largely, been done.

We can put those pieces together to set-up and install webizen on existing devices & custom made ones.

However: Generally speaking people have not had their own private servers and networking environments. Furthermore, there are now AI related Processors that will require the production of new software to work well. To ensure this is both secure and safe, an array of particular requirements need to be processed to ensure we make the webizen we want; as to ensure, we produce these webizen in a way that reflects our values.

Finally; we must define economic solutions to address the problems so many knowledge workers have today. Webizen must not be produced in a manner that supports any form of wrongs against human rights.

27 of 41

Defining Values:

Safety Protocols

In-order to produce systems that are both, designed to be incredibly secure; as well, as socially responsible & safe; noting domestic jurisdictional operations of webizen and therefore able to be supported by #RuleOfLaw

We need to produce ‘dignity enhancing’ solutions that provide the means to communicate our values via our Webizen, much as we would be expected to do if we were interacting solely in the real world.

The thinking is; that by designing Webizen Safety Protocols to ensure our Webizen provide information about our Values via Credentials.

The Ability to;

  • Maintain both personal & social safety measures; and,
  • Remove ‘attack vectors’ (ie: ‘back doors’); and,
  • Improve the way we are able to form knowledge of life; and,
  • Securely Manage our IoT Environments; and,
  • Support ‘access to justice’ / low-cost & prompt lawful remedy; and,
  • Support ‘web civics’ activities, such as collaborative AI of Commons;

Are all positively impacted by forming ‘safety protocols’ built upon values.

The process in producing them starts by encoding existing ‘values’ related Codes (ie: human rights instruments, professional codes, etc); and, through the production of ‘production tooling’, that helps us build the tools we need.

28 of 41

Behavioural Currencies

Behavioural currencies are systems are produced in relation to ontologically defined vocabularies, verifiable credentials and various other processable factors.

Whilst the operation of these systems are optional, the design of how they’re intended to work; seeks to support privacy but moreover - the concept of human dignity.

Therein; means to support voluntary participation, will in-turn lead to providing support for persons to be made able to engage with one another and form different types of social-contracts with one another with accountability.

This is intended to be a supportive means for self-growth, not a form of tooling for punitive forms of abuse..

Legal systems have a series of principals, that seek to discern the difference between circumstances where an agent (or person) has made a mistake; vs. other circumstances where there’s been a wilful breach of confidence - which must first, be defined. These systems are designed, defined & Implemented only by human actors whose names are attached to their works; which is coupled to other systems, to support access to justice.

29 of 41

Promoting Knowledge

With #PermissiveCommons

Permissive commons is an ‘upgrade’ to ‘open data’;

  • Structured to support #AI.
  • Improved Version Control (temporal semantics)
  • Ability to assign Read, Append, Write Permissions differently
  • Ability to be processed, locally (privacy / dignity benefits).
  • Ability to support ‘entity’ semantics (ie: Stewards for particular types of permissive commons assets)

The Webizen systems employ ontological vocabularies and taxonomies, which are in-turn supported by an array of information that exists and will be processed and uplifted, to support a variety of webizen AI related functionality in a way that enables local AI processing.

#PermissiveCommons helps to create ‘knowledge clouds’, which is a means through which the articulation of knowledge can be Collaboratively & Cooperatively co-designed; via means where valued contributors benefit & may be paid for their works. Part of this requirement does in-turn relate to the means through which Webizen are being designed to protect & promote our human rights, fair dealings & means through which valued contributions are encouraged.

30 of 41

First port of call: Addressing the issue of ‘digital slavery’

Digital Slavery is a concept that refers to an array of behaviours, that are all too often commonly accepted. Conversely, almost a century ago, a movement developed to clearly articulate the needs of civilians; to work for 8 hours (and be gainfully paid, and consequently also - taxed); to have 8 hours recreation available to them, built upon the concept that 8 hours of gainful work should support the means for persons to have ‘time off’ to spend engaged in recreational activities; and in-turn also, 8 hours sleep.

These principals have been - in-effect - mocked, undermined and subjected to torts. The Webizen project, is working to be built in a way, that addresses these ‘digital slavery’ (or web slavery) issues; and whilst this is complex and innovative, it is one of the core values built into the project and related group values overall.

The systems, solutions, business systems and activities at large; are being designed to eradicate ‘digital slavery’ practices and practitioners. This means, we’re able to support accountability in ways that those who act - in what may at least be considered - immorally - can be defeated.

31 of 41

(“Value”) Accounting Practices

In-order to promote values & in-turn also a knowledge community;

Webizen will support multiple currencies, and an array of temporal AI practices which are in-turn supported by an array of accounting practice methods; where the major features, will positively impact various forms of knowledge workers; as to acknowledge persons for their works / time, without necessarily paying them up-front; rather, in relation to future usefulness revenues, particularly re: projects.

The Web Civics, Webizen project seeks to extinguish ‘digital slavery’ like practices, whilst simultaniously seeking to ensure no ‘royalties’ (or rents) in perpetuity be encouraged for works of humanitarian purpose; as such, webizen seeks to forge a middle ground, that is instrumental for peace. The Slicing Pie video (below) provides an example of Value Accounting Systems

32 of 41

Bio-sphere and Socio-Sphere Currencies

Biosphere & Sociosphere Currencies (ie: SDGs) support biosphere related accounting systems; so that the way we value progress, takes into account the ecosystems involved.

Whilst the greatest of all measuring sticks, is a means to measure the energy life cycle of a particular thing, project, activity, pursuit or in-turn also opportunity for us to learn, how to do better.

There are various other forms of ‘biosphere related’ currencies and values systems, that are part of the core-vocabularies sought to be rendered into the webizen environment.

These systems form the basis of what i call: Peace Infrastructure & Webizen, is a related Enablement Project. These ‘currencies’ value, what people do and how they do it, in relation to the impact it has upon others - anywhere in the world, alongside the impacts brought about upon our world and the macroscopic and microscopic flora, fauna and biological processes that are impacted by mankind. If a webizen owner can positively impact 1Bn people, it doesn’t take much per positively impacted person to provide support for that webizen owner, to ensure they’re able to be safe & provide for their children both independently and with dignity. Crucially, these systems involve temporal hygiene practices.

We don’t simply need ‘sustainability’; moreover, We need ‘regenerative growth” for advancement.

33 of 41

Valuing Human Persons (Time / Physics / Consciousness / Spirit)

There will be a process whereby the introduction of #RealityCheckTech will in-turn, cause some disruption.

There are issues of ‘digital slavery’ that has amassed alot of beneficiaries - yet - it is not a sustainable approach.Furthermore; there are an array of persons, who have successfully maintained ‘jobs’ in areas, that don’t actually reflect the sorts of skills they’re best equipped to be employed to employ. The Impact Webizen will have upon this situation; is expected to, in-turn, be quite disruptive for some, and an enormous opportunity for the vast majority of others.

Equally, many ‘technical tasks’, will be far more easily accomplished with the assistance of a Person's own Webizen. These sorts of outcomes can only really come about, via honesty & fairness.Which is in-turn instrumental for regenerative growth.

About Web Civics

Web Civics was established in 2014 following support for a program called ‘Aus Civics’, a ‘commission’ from Australia’s Governor General, to help teach kids about our system of democracy.

Web Civics has sought to become a form of ‘bridge’ between the standards organisations & other internet governance groups; and the need to have some way of supporting the means for all members of our human family, to be involved in producing the cyber Infrastructure we need - for the betterment of Humanity.

Webizen seeks to support the development of a foundational requirement to ensuring cyber-infrastructure to support human dignity including lawful remedy, where appropriate.

Resolution to various issues that have enormous negative consequences in these areas, has not been prioritised by large–scale stakeholders; so whilst former designs sought to deliver enterprise solutions, webizen shifts to consumer electronics as a means to ensure a future built on rights, not rulers.

Web Civics, via Webizen seeks to empower honesty, humility and Humanitarian progress via #RealityCheckTech; to advance us through the difficulties of today's complexities; as to embolden our moral economy & the way we value kindness. Webizen empowers & protects moral equity via AI discipline.

Through the development of Webizen as a specified hardware/software computing platform; the means to produce the sorts of systems previously thought best deployed via enterprise with government, can be done.

It is hoped that people will be able to work to do various forms of ‘civics’ activities, empowered by the web; to protect kindness & qualities befitting any would be, leader via knowledge wealth.

Whilst there’s an enormous volume of ‘information age’ operators which is a form of industry that has qualifiable traits; the differences brought about by knowledge capabilities, are significant - the process & value creation mechanisms / cycles - requirements - are a particular form of craft / talent.IT is thought some are desperate for systems

that improve their relationship, with wisdom.

About the Peace Infrastructure Project

Whilst the background to the creative work leading to the creation of the “Peace Infrastructure Projects” concept, is as complex as is the case for webizen; it nonetheless shares much with respect to the enabling technologies intended to be employed, for useful, honourable and beneficial purposes in a manner that is intended to protect safety via improved support for evidence and in-turn requirements for rule of law & timely lawful remedy to address issues involving wrong-doing and in-turn harms / injury and the settlement of disputes relating to improper conduct, etc. Put simply; the broad concept of the peace infrastructure project, acts to extend what is sought to be achieved as a foundational knowledge management environment via webizen, to enable revolutionary evolution of how it is we produce infrastructure (ie: residential - homes) and related ecosystem requirements (hot/cold water & water management, energy management, construction components and materials, interchangeable interior components, and ‘IoT’ technologies and much, much more). Fundamentally, there needs to be a way to help people, who have all sorts of ways they’re able to contribute; to be able to do so; without being exploited for having done so - in good faith - seeking to contribute towards a positive outcome; both, for themselves, and others. Therein, an array of Human Rights and related Ontologies, made available for use by Webizen and in-turn also; Verifiable Credentials, for use with electronic contracts (and the management of them); is intended to support the creation of a solution that is able to respond to modern challenges that seem to have been made to be too hard, otherwise.

Through these sorts of works, the means to advance the peace project is one of the many project / beneficiaries, linked with the development of Webizen & its in-built knowledge economy protocols

(image - 20/7/22); Whilst i sought assistance from government to help produce a meeting space, via Gov Teams (like the LinkeData Group noted 2nd last slide); i never heard back from them; however, it appears that they’ve progressed it given the announcement in the federal budget on the 25th of October that spoke about a multi-stakeholder ‘accord’;and whilst i’ve sought information about what happened, sadly government has been unable to get back to me. No matter what happened, the assumption is that the work project, will help to continue to support the important and seemingly valuable work;that presently lacks the sort of moral infrastructure that is needed to address various issues, ranging from the factors relating to natural justice, digital slavery and in-turn also; both value-chain economic factors that in-turn have a meaningful relationship to IP, GDP and of course also, Taxation which is a primary beneficiary of truth-telling infrastructure for society.

A Start by Addressing The Work / Dignity Problem…

SOCIO-TECHNICAL ConsiderationsWhilst the purpose of Webizen & Web Civics, at the core of it all; is about doing work, to address various social issues; the foundational reality, is that this involves work & most, expect to benefit from that work without having to consider the costs upon those who’ve done it. There are various implications linked with this ‘business as usual’ approach; and it's not fit for purpose, for webizen or Web Civics. The development of a ‘webizen box’ that incorporates the specifications noted previously will require alot of work, and in-turn, a lot of people doing work.As such, the initial development environment for producing software that is compatible with future webizen based products; will in-turn, require contributors to become familiar with the way these systems are designed to work at a fundamental level, alongside forming a space of encouragement and support to work through the various issues that need to be considered and addressed; oftentimes, involving knowledge, skills, talent (art); from people whose expertise is in various fields and disciplines. This in-turn has an impact on various areas of socio-economics; and should, in-turn, radically improve productivity capabilities for any form of project; as becomes a key selling point for Webizen that is different to alternative platforms and ‘self sovereign wallet’ concepts.

A Brief description of the General History

A post of an old email in 2005, demonstrates how old some of these problems are; and in-turn, helps to support my statement that i’ve been hoping to address the underlying problems relating useful work derivatives to socio-economic benefits for their creators; since 2000. Indeed part of the inspiration for iBank (2000) was to send links of business plans, rather than documents that could be taken elsewhere..

The WebPayments & Credentials work (w3c) (as demonstrated in the previous slide) sought to address this problem also; A group member had been working on Taskify however we were unable to progress it further.. So far.

Work was then further developed with the support of Amanda Jansen in particular, who was primarily responsible for the document listing existing value accounting initiatives. Which in-turn also links with other works, where the knowledge banking works; were sought to be progressed via the formation of an international ‘topic SIG’ via internet society. This is not an exhaustive outline of prior artifacts.

Cooperative Projects: Producing modern economic tools, to support modern forms of work.

The Cooperative Projects application; Provides a linked-data-driven decentralised environment for managing the production of ‘things’. (outcomes). The app framework (github) (WIP UI Demo) is intended to be driven via RDF, where the belief is that we should be able to make it work via the Solid developer framework.

  • Users can create new projects, if the concept doesn’t already exist; or,
  • Contribute towards existing projects; and, if their contributions are deemed valuable / useful, then it becomes part of the ‘graph’ (provenance) of that body of work; that in-turn leads to either or both;
  • Acknowledgement (something to put on the CV) as verifiable claims (inspectable) and in-turn also,
  • Participation in the Commercialisation related revenues; if the project or the contributed work (found useful) is not funded / paid upfront.

This application, is intended to result in the production of the basic tooling people need to be provided dignity in relation to creative works (involving skills / expertise); and in-turn also, improve provenance and defensibility of who did what when; and, will be used to manage the development of the Webizen Project, alongside other projects - including but not limited to the peace infrastructure project which aims to support talented & creative knowledge workers, rapidly contribute towards the production of a capability (and intellectual property pool) to improve the real-world experience of safety, human dignity and in-turn also; peace, in the interests of our world.

Anyone can start a project; and seek help from other people to help turn ideas, into useful outcomes (products, services, events,etc.). In many ways, it's a bit like GIT (IE: github) where people can start projects, others can do some work on it; then contribute it back to help progress, maintain or somehow act to beneficially support the objectives linked to that project. Provenance is tracked; and business rules can be applied to support various structural considerations, from those relating to contracts (and IP); through to others about how people end-up getting paid, what conditions link to those transactional outcomes; and whether the outcome is paid or free, for some or all. (ie: enterprise licensing vs. personal /educational use, licensing). Not all projects, are about software or internet; overall, it's about effort.

Project Related Links (inc Historical notes)

Here are some Webizen / Web Civics Related Links;

The Next Big Stage; will be about creating the First App, a Work Management platform. This requires an Alpha ‘Standard operating Environment’ Specification alongside application development to produce the basic tools needed for progress.

Image of former Webizen site as made by MIT Linked-Data team. NOTE: Timothy Berners-Lee is not associated with this initiative, although components that he has been instrumental in creating are sought to be employed. As he put it ‘i didn’t need to ask Vint Cerf if i could make the web’... & ‘whilst it may not be fair, still use solid’.

Currently, it is thought that the best path forward is for the development of Webizen to be a Major project of Web Civics, which will in-turn provide support for the ecosystem as a For Purpose Social Enterprise (ie: Foundation and/or similar); that will in-turn, seek to grow more useful peace infrastructure.

My Final Note

For what its worth; I have done alot of work over a long period of time, that has led me down an incredible / remarkable path, incorporating all sorts of amazing experiences with amazing minds, all around the world; as i’ve been hunting, down this path; as a matter of great personal moral importance; something, that whenever i look at other ‘apps’ & websites, built on systems where the operator owns all the data; it's not like i can’t make something like that, i just think, its dishonourable to do so.

Now this path, has also led to many very difficult experiences, indeed many involved internationally working on the underlying technology in the interests of mankind; have also been living in poverty, its remarkably sad and a true indictment as to the ‘status quo. Now, as much as i hope you’ll reach out and hope me figure out how to make something amazing; help to build Knowledge systems, with integrity,

I also know that the vast majority of people go online to get whatever they can for free, so they can pitch the ‘ideas’ themselves for money by whomever employs them; or for whatever other reason; and,

I know, this is part of what is going to happen; and i’m doing it anyway. Because i believe - doing your best, counts.

And i also believe; that people who behave in an untrustworthy manner, well, they’ve already got a solution that they’ve defined with work i was previously involved it - it helps them be defined by a wallet. My designs, are not about #DataCollars absent of #Rights.

But that’s not what i want to be the outcome for vulnerable members of society… So, if your belief system your ideology is different then well, i’d prefer not to get involved with you;and certainly, this is all only able to be shared easily via making the resources about it public. But i’m betting, regardless of any emergent competitors; the greatest value of my work, is that i will continue to do work, whether recognised or not; to build the infrastructure we need so that many, many more people - can positively impact the lives of billions of people. What people do, matters. Supporting honest lives and the needs of persons who care about peace, is to me, most important.
