Unified Improvement Plan (UIP)

A Unified Improvement Plan (UIP) is a framework used in Colorado public schools and districts to improve student outcomes. It’s required by the Colorado Department of Education (CDE) and serves as a single, integrated plan that replaces multiple separate planning requirements.

The SAC helps inform, encourage, and advise on the UIP process by:

  • Giving input on priority areas.
  • Helping review progress.
  • Ensuring the plan reflects parent and community voices.

👉 In short: The UIP is the school’s roadmap for continuous improvement, and the SAC plays a role in shaping and evaluating it.
