ASK YOURSELF HOW COMFORTABLE YOU ARE WITH…

  • COST
    • Are you willing to pay $100,000+ for your dream school?
    • Is cost the most important factor in your decision where to attend?
  • LOANS
    • Are you willing to take out loans?
    • How much are you willing to borrow?
  • DISTANCE
    • Do you see yourself living far enough from home that you will have to fly home / drive over 6 hours?
  • COLLEGE VS MAJOR
    • Do you want to attend Berkeley or major in engineering?
  • COLLEGE EXPERIENCE
    • Do you just want to get a degree to get a job or do you want a college experience?
    • How important is the name of the college vs. the college experience

Do you know the difference between UC & CSU? They do not differ in quality, just approach & cost. For more info click here.

UC = QUARTERS CSU = SEMESTERS

  • UC = interested in academia, research, and theory skills, preparing for grad school
  • Designed for students to engage and connect with professors doing research in the fields you’re interested in, such as law, medicine, dentistry, engineering, and pharmacy.
  • “Majors” means the “major subject focus” or field of study
  • $13,752 tuition - more selective

  • CSU = interested in pursuing practical and non-research-oriented careers,
  • Designed to offer hands-on education and help students prepare for careers & getting licenses at higher levels. Teacher / Nurse, Physical Therapist, MSW
  • You need to consider your career because that is the “Program” you will select when you start your CSU apply.
  • $6700 tuition - less selective

*The first step on the CSU App is selecting

your program. That is how you select the CSU.
