New books and the sharing of new ideas led some to start challenging the Church’s teachings on the subject. How would the church handle this challenge to it’s authority?

In 1615 Galileo wrote another book offering more proof.

The book offended the pope and Galileo was ordered to admit he was wrong.

He did but he was sentenced to jail for the rest of his life.

In MDCXV Galileo scripsit alius liber superponens argumentum.

Galileo liber offendit papae iussus peccasse fateris.

Sed idem adhuc in carcerem et in reliquum vitae suae.
