⌘ and space

Activate ‘Spotlight’ for quickly launching Apps plus a heap more features

Tab through your open applications

Permanently delete a file from the Finder

Close current window or browser tab

Hides current window

Great for decluttering your open applications.

Screenshot shortcuts

Your entire screen

  1. Press Shift-Command (⌘)-3.
  2. Find the screenshot as a .png file on your desktop.

Selected portion of your screen

  1. Press Shift-Command-4. The pointer changes to a crosshair to select portion of screen

  1. Press Shift-Command-4. The pointer changes to a crosshair.
  2. Press the Space bar. The pointer changes to a camera.

Adding the ‘control’ key to any of these allows you to copy the screenshots to your clipboard to paste into Docs.

Goes to that tab in Chrome

Makes your App full screen

OR

Starts the ‘Find’ function

  • Switches between Mirroring for external displays
  • Great for use with the classroom projector

  • Highlights web address (URL)
  • Then copies that to the clipboard

  • Remind yourself where files are located

  • View -> Show Path bar
