Scratch vs micro:bit

If this is all new, teach Scratch!

Scratch - Coding tool developed by MIT to teach young kids to code.

Easy to use, easy to learn, widely used around the world, lots of free resources.

micro:bit - a small, programmable computer that helps children learn about coding and Physical Computing

microbit Resources

Schedule

  • Six weeks
  • Scratch training on Tuesdays 4-4:45 starting Sept 24th.
  • micro:bit training on Wednesdays 4-4:45 starting Sept 25th.

We will pay you for six sessions but you can attend both trainings

There will be teachers who are running their own programs, not paid by Boolean Girl in the training.

High School Student

Boolean Girl will hire a local high school student to support you.

They will have a coding/technical background

They will get training

You should encourage them to lead the class, when they are ready.

If you know a student or HS teacher, help us out.
