«فبمن تشبهون الله، وأي شبه تعادلون به؟
الصنم يسبكه الصانع، والصائغ يغشيه بذهب ويصوغ سلاسل فضة.
الفقير عن التقدمة ينتخب خشبا لا يسوس، يطلب له صانعا ماهرا لينصب صنما لا يتزعزع!». (أش 40: 18-20)
“To whom then will you liken God?
Or what likeness will you compare to Him?
The workman molds an image,
The goldsmith overspreads it with gold,
And the silversmith casts silver chains.
Whoever is too impoverished for such an offering
Chooses a tree that will not rot;
He seeks for himself a skillful workman
To prepare a carved image that will not totter.”
(IS 40: 18-20)
«كل واحد يساعد صاحبه ويقول لأخيه: «تشدد».
فشدد النجار الصائغ. الصاقل بالمطرقة الضارب على السندان، قائلا عن الإلحام: «هو جيد». فمكنه بمسامير حتى لا يتقلقل.
(أش 41: 6-7)
“Everyone helped his neighbor,
And said to his brother, “Be strong!”
So the craftsman encouraged the goldsmith;
He who smooths with the hammer inspired him who strikes the anvil,
Saying, “It is ready for the soldering”;
Then he fastened it with pegs,
That it might not totter. (IS 41: 6-7)

“Present your case,” says the Lord.
“Bring forth your strong reasons,” says the King of Jacob. “Let them bring forth and show us what will happen; Let them show the former things, what they were, That we may set our heart on them,
And know the latter end of them;
Or declare to us things to come.

Show the things that are to come hereafter,
That we may know that you are gods;
Yes, do good or do evil, That we may be dismayed and see it together. Indeed you are nothing,
And your work is nothing; He who chooses you is an abomination.” (IS 41: 21-24)

التلذذ بالمادة (الطمع/ الطموح)
+ Relishing materialism (greed/ungodly ambition)
التلذذ بالكرامة (الإنجازات)
+ Relishing Dignity (achievements)
الصنم الباطل:The Useless/False Image (idol):
«الذين يصورون صنماً كلهم باطل، ومشتهياتهم لا تنفع، وشهودهم هي. لا تبصر ولا تعرف حتى تخزى.
من صور إلهاً وسبك صنما لغير نفع؟
Those who make an image, all of them are useless, And their precious things shall not profit; They are their own witnesses;
They neither see nor know, that they may be ashamed. Who would form a god or mold an image That profits him nothing?
ها كل أصحابه يخزون والصناع هم من الناس. يجتمعون كلهم، يقفون يرتعبون ويخزون معاً.
Surely all his companions would be ashamed;
And the workmen, they are mere men.
Let them all be gathered together,
Let them stand up;
Yet they shall fear,
They shall be ashamed together.
الصنم الباطل:The Useless/False Image (idol):
طبع الحديد قدوماً، وعمل في الفحم، وبالمطارق يصوره فيصنعه بذراع قوته. يجوع أيضاً فليس له قوة. لم يشرب ماء وقد تعب.
The blacksmith with the tongs works one in the coals, Fashions it with hammers,
And works it with the strength of his arms.
Even so, he is hungry, and his strength fails;
He drinks no water and is faint.
الصنم الباطل:The Useless/False Image (idol):
نجر خشباً. مد الخيط. بالمخرز يعلمه، يصنعه بالأزاميل، وبالدوارة يرسمه. فيصنعه كشبه رجل، كجمال إنسان، ليسكن في البيت!
The craftsman stretches out his rule,
He marks one out with chalk;
He fashions it with a plane,
He marks it out with the compass,
And makes it like the figure of a man,
According to the beauty of a man, that it may remain in the house.
الصنم الباطل:The Useless/False Image (idol):
قطع لنفسه أرزاً وأخذ سندياناً وبلوطاً، واختار لنفسه من أشجار الوعر. غرس سنوبراً والمطر ينميه. فيصير للناس للإيقاد. ويأخذ منه ويتدفأ. يشعل أيضاً ويخبز خبزاً، ثم يصنع إلهاً فيسجد! قد صنعه صنماً وخر له.
He cuts down cedars for himself, And takes the cypress and the oak; He secures it for himself among the trees of the forest. He plants a pine, and the rain nourishes it. Then it shall be for a man to burn, For he will take some of it and warm himself; Yes, he kindles it and bakes bread; Indeed he makes a god and worships it;
He makes it a carved image, and falls down to it.
الصنم الباطل:The Useless/False Image (idol):
نصفه أحرقه بالنار. على نصفه يأكل لحماً. يشوي مشوياً ويشبع! يتدفأ أيضا ويقول: «بخ! قد تدفأت. رأيت ناراً».
He burns half of it in the fire;
With this half he eats meat;
He roasts a roast, and is satisfied.
He even warms himself and says,
“Ah! I am warm,
I have seen the fire.”
الصنم الباطل:The Useless/False Image (idol):
وبقيته قد صنعها إلهاً، صنما لنفسه! يخر له ويسجد، ويصلي إليه ويقول: «نجني لأنك أنت إلهي». لا يعرفون ولا يفهمون لأنه قد طمست عيونهم عن الإبصار، وقلوبهم عن التعقل.
And the rest of it he makes into a god,
His carved image. He falls down before it and worships it, Prays to it and says,
“Deliver me, for you are my god!” They do not know nor understand; For He has smeared over their eyes, so that they cannot see,
And their hearts, so that they cannot understand.
الصنم الباطل:The Useless/False Image (idol):
ولا يردد في قلبه وليس له معرفة ولا فهم حتى يقول: «نصفه قد أحرقت بالنار، وخبزت أيضاً على جمره خبزاً، شويت لحماً وأكلت. أفأصنع بقيته رجساً، ولساق شجرة أخر؟»
And no one considers in his heart,
Nor is there knowledge nor understanding to say, “I have burned half of it in the fire,
Yes, I have also baked bread on its coals;
I have roasted meat and eaten it;
And shall I make the rest of it an abomination?
Shall I fall down before a block of wood?”
الصنم الباطل:The Useless/False Image (idol):
يرعى رماداً. قلب مخدوع قد أضله فلا ينجي نفسه ولا يقول: «أليس كذب في يميني؟.» (أش 44: 9-20)
He feeds on ashes;
A deceived heart has turned him aside;
And he cannot deliver his soul,
Nor say, “Is there not a lie in my right hand?”
(IS 44: 9-20)
الصنم الباطل:The Useless/False Image (idol):
+ كثرة الشهود ... الغالبية ... الباب الواسع
+ Many witnesses … most of the people …
the wide gate
+ الرعب ... و الخزي ... و الفراغ
+ Fright …. Shame … and Void/Emptiness
+ صناعة بشر ... لتتحكم في البشر؟!!
+ A human-made craft … to control humans?!!

الجوع مستمر: The Continuous Hunger:
« طبع الحديد قدوما، وعمل في الفحم، وبالمطارق يصوره فيصنعه بذراع قوته. يجوع أيضا فليس له قوة. لم يشرب ماء وقد تعب.

+ إرهاق عبادة الأوثان ...
+ The exhaustion of idol-worshipping…
+ استخدام الطبيعة ... و عبادة الطبيعة
+ Using nature … and worshipping nature
+ عبادة البشر أو السوبرمان
+ Human worshipping
or superman worshipping
الجوع مستمر: The Continuous Hunger:
إلهاً كاذباً ... و ينبغي أن تُصَدَق الكذبة:
A false “god” … and the lie has to be believed:
«فيصير للناس للإيقاد. ويأخذ منه ويتدفأ. يشعل أيضاً ويخبز خبزاً، ثم يصنع إلهاً فيسجد! قد صنعه صنماً وخر له.
“Then it shall be for a man to burn,
For he will take some of it and warm himself;
Yes, he kindles it and bakes bread;
Indeed he makes a god and worships it;

نصفه أحرقه بالنار. على نصفه يأكل لحماً. يشوي مشوياً ويشبع! يتدفأ أيضاً ويقول: «بخ! قد تدفأت. رأيت ناراً».

إلهاً كاذباً ... و ينبغي أن تُصَدَق الكذبة:

إلهاً كاذباً ... و ينبغي أن تُصَدَق الكذبة:

+ يلا ندفأ بالإله... !!!! نستخدمه
+ “Let’s warm ourselves up by god” …!!! Use him
+ إدعاء السعادة و ترويج الأوهام
+ The pretence of happiness
and promoting delusion
+ يلا نأكل الإله ... و نسجد له
+ “Let’s eat god … and worship him”
إلهاً كاذباً ... و ينبغي أن تُصَدَق الكذبة:
A false “god” … and the lie has to be believed:
+ تعديل صورة الإله كل شوية حسب الطلب
+ Modifying/adjusting
the image of “god” every now and then,
as per the demand.
الحقيقة ... مُرّة: The Bitter Truth:
«لا يعرفون ولا يفهمون لأنه قد طمست عيونهم عن الإبصار، وقلوبهم عن التعقل.
“They do not know nor understand;
For He has smeared over their eyes, so that they cannot see, And their hearts, so that they cannot understand.
ولا يردد في قلبه وليس له معرفة ولا فهم حتى يقول: «نصفه قد أحرقت بالنار، وخبزت أيضاً على جمره خبزاً، شويت لحماً وأكلت. أفأصنع بقيته رجساً، ولساق شجرة أخر؟» (أش 44: 18-19)

الحقيقة ... مُرّة: The Bitter Truth:
+ العلم .. المال .. الجمال .. المتعة .. ؟!!
+ Science … money … beauty … pleasure … ?!!
«لأن كل ما في العالم: شهوة الجسد، وشهوة العيون، وتعظم المعيشة، ليس من الآب بل من العالم. والعالم يمضي وشهوته، وأما الذي يصنع مشيئة الله فيثبت إلى الأبد.» (1 يو 2: 16-17)
“For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.” (1 Joh 2: 16-17)
الحقيقة ... مُرّة: The Bitter Truth:
+ الهروب من المواجهة (القلب)
+ Escaping confrontation (the heart)
القلب المخدوع: The Deceived Heart:
«يرعى رمادا. قلب مخدوع قد أضله فلا ينجي نفسه ولا يقول: «أليس كذب في يميني؟».
“He feeds on ashes;
A deceived heart has turned him aside;
And he cannot deliver his soul,
Nor say, “Is there not a lie in my right hand?”
«اذكر هذه يا يعقوب، يا إسرائيل، فإنك أنت عبدي. قد جبلتك. عبد لي أنت. يا إسرائيل لا تنسي مني. قد محوت كغيم ذنوبك وكسحابة خطاياك. ارجع إلي لأني فديتك.» (أش 44: 20-22)
“Remember these, O Jacob,
And Israel, for you are My servant;
I have formed you, you are My servant;
O Israel, you will not be forgotten by Me!
I have blotted out, like a thick cloud, your transgressions, And like a cloud, your sins.
Return to Me, for I have redeemed you.””
(IS 44: 20-22)
القلب المخدوع: The Deceived Heart:
«القلب أخدع من كل شيء وهو نجيس، من يعرفه؟» (إر 17: 9)
“The heart is deceitful above all things,
And desperately wicked;
Who can know it?” (Jer 17:9)
القلب المخدوع: The Deceived Heart:
+ الإله الحقيقي .. خالق .. مُعتني .. يغفر و يفدي
+ The True God … is the Creator …
The Care-giver … He forgives and redeems
ماذا نفعل تجاه الوهم الكبير؟؟
What can we do with regards
to the great delusion??
