  • Teachers consider connections between curriculum outcomes when planning
  • Many learning processes are developed in French and English block such as comparing, contrasting, analysing, problem solving and engagement in the writing process
  • Integrity of the grade 6 curriculum is maintained

There is no requirement to complete ICF as a prerequisite for the Late French Immersion program. Students who have completed the Core French program or the ICF program are eligible to register for Late French Immersion in Grade 7.

Intensive Core French

  • ICF is an optional program that may be offered when registration warrants and grade level resources are able to support
  • Viability of the program is determined after the registration period

Possible scenarios:

  • The class cap is 28
  • Where registration numbers exceed 28, a waitlist will be created
  • In cases where all students register for ICF, there�will be full implementation
  • When registration numbers are low, the ICF

program may not be viable

Registration Process

The registration process for ICF will be done via Google Form. Students will be accepted into the program by order of registration (first come first served). ICF Registration will be done online at the NLSchools website and will open on February 25, 2025 at 9:00 AM (NST) and close on February 28, 2025 at 11:59 PM (NST). If you require assistance with the digital registration process, please contact your child’s school for assistance.
