IMPORTANT PRODUCT SAFETY FEATURES

Below is a table of important safety and user interface features of the N-3 motor.

Page 6

FEATURE

DETAILS

Magnetic Kill Switch

Your motor is turned on and engaged with a magnetic safety switch. The motor will not turn on without the magnetic kill switch and upon its removal, your motor will immediately stop and power down.

Ensure that the kill switch is ALWAYS attached to the operator of the motor in case of an accident.

Out of water operation

You can operate your N-3 out of water for short runs. However, your throttle will not work fully until the motor is in water and fully engaging water resistance.

Motor Engagement

Your motor will not operate if the throttle is not in the neutral position when it is first turned on. The throttle will need to be "reset" by being brought over to the Neutral Position and then back to the desired throttle setting in reverse or forward.

Overcurrent Motor Protection

The N-3 will stop running if it encounters a situation whereby the current draw from the Power Pack is higher than expected.

High temperature

The N-3 and its Power Pack have features that will throttle the motor down in case the motor and/or Power Pack sense an unusually high operating temperature. This is to protect the motor and Power Pack from damage.

Propeller Protection

The N-3 will stop running if the propeller is jammed with weeds or debris. This is to prevent further damage to the motor and/or propeller and/or Power Pack.

Low Battery Throttle Down

To help preserve battery life and as a safety feature, the N-3 will reduce its maximum power output when the battery reaches 30% of its charge.

LCD Display

Your LCD display is a simple, but crucial part of your safety equipment, indicating live information regarding charge status, speed and watt consumption.

USER INTERFACE DETAILS

Your N-3 motors features an easy to read LCD screen to provide the most vital information at a glance. Figure (X) highlights the elements of the LCD screen.

The table below provides detailed explanations of the elements on your LCD screen.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS - Installing on boat

Installing the N-3 outboard motor

STEP 1:Install the outboard motor at the center line of the boat's transom plate to improve weight distribution. If the boat transom is asymmetrical, please consult a local dealer for help or contact us at: help@bixpy.com for assistance.

Page 8

STEP 2:Select the appropriate mounting height. The mounting height determines the boat's efficiency. If the propeller is too close to waterline. It may generate turbulence and reduce thrust. A prop that is too low in the water will also be less efficient. Ideally, your cavitation plate should be about 4" (100mm) below the waterline

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS - Installing on boat

STEP 4:Tighten the clamp bolt clockwise to secure the outboard motor. You can also secure the outboard motor to the boat using bolts, with mounting holes located near the clam bolt on the transom.

Page 9

1. Ensure the transom mounting bracket clamp bolt is securely fastened. Failure to do so may result in the outboard motor falling into the water.

2. Vibration can loosen bolts. Before each use, or after a period of use, re-inspect the clamp bolt to ensure it remains tightened.

POWER PACK EMERGENCY HANDLING

Page 20

Impact damage

If your outboard motor strikes an object underwater during operation, please follow these steps:

  • Step 1: Immediately stop the outboard motor and turn off the Power Pack power.
  • Step 2: Tilt up the outboard motor and inspect the mechanical components for damage.
  • Step 3: Check if the propeller can rotate freely - MAKE SURE YOUR POWER PACK IS UNPLUGGED!!!
  • Step 4: With the outboard motor tilted up, turn on the Power Pack power and start the outboard motor to check if the control system is functioning properly.
  • Step 5: If no obvious issues are found, turn off the outboard motor and Power Pack, tilt the motor back down, and return to shore at the low power.
  • Step 6: Contact an authorized dealer or Bixpy for advice on next steps, inspection and/or necessary repairs.

Accidental submersion

If the outboard motor accidentally falls into the water during use and is submerged fully, please follow these steps:

  • Step 1: Immediately stop the engine and disconnect the Power Pack.
  • Step 2: Return to shore using another means of power.
  • Step 3: Contact an authorized dealer or Bixpy for advice on next steps, inspection and/or necessary repairs.

Built in System Protections

TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE

Page 21

Transportation

When transporting your N-3 Motor, particularly during maintenance or servicing, pay attention to the following:

  • It is recommend using the original packaging materials or a Bixpy Carry Bag during transport.
  • It is recommended to remove the propeller during transport to prevent damage.

If the outboard motor needs to be transported while in a tilted position, it should be maintained at the minimum angle of trim, ensuring that the motor's tilt is secured in the off position. Should the motor need to be transported in a tilted

state, please utilize additional support devices to secure the outboard motor at the desired angle. While in a tilted position, the outboard motor may shift due to vibrations, so please ensure that the steering mechanism of the motor is securely fastened.

Storage

When storing the N-3 Motor for an extended period (two months or longer) the following is recommend.

  • Wash the surface of the outboard motor with fresh water.
  • Clean any stained components.
  • Store the outboard motor in a dry, well-ventilated area, avoiding direct sunlight.
  • If the anode is worn off, replace it with a fresh anode.

MAINTENANCE

Page 22

Maintenance

Although the N-3 and the NB-1440 are built for minimal maintenance, some common sense and good product hygiene and maintenance will ensure that your motor and Power Pack offer you years of enjoyment.

Here are some steps to prolong your products' lifespan:

  1. Do not store outdoors for prolonged periods
  2. Do not store the motor submerged in water
  3. Always rinse the motor with fresh water after use - this is particularly important after use in saltwater
  4. Inspect your anode before every use and replace often to reduce corrosion
  5. Inspect your propeller, propeller pin and propeller nut regularly and replace immediately if there is any sign of damage or deformation.
  6. Always inspect your entire setup before each trip to ensure everything is in order. If in doubt, do not go out on the water with a product you suspect of having faults or issues.
  7. If you lose, or break or damage your connector caps, please purchase new caps and replace the missing or damaged caps. Operating your motor with connector caps open can lead to water ingress and eventual damage to your product.
