Create intentional opportunities for HS CTE students to acquire key knowledge and skills for transitioning to college

  • Articulation helps clarify college academic expectations but should still be complemented with experiences to help students navigate the college campus
    • ideally, through active engagement and on college campuses where students can begin to form connections to a postsecondary environment

*Collaborate with LEAs and consider providing financial match to support the effort since LEAs must match 2:1 for K12 SWP!

Postsecondary engagement includes the opportunities and activities that middle and high school students experience to build awareness and develop college-going knowledge and skills for successful transition to college

Connecting students to postsecondary engagement activities is a proactive approach to exposing students to the culture and norms of college (Conley, 2007)
