What is Mule-a-thon?

Seegers Union Takeover

Sponsored by Panhel + IFC but open to all

  • Student participants will be at the event for the 12 hour period (8pm-8am)
  • Teams/individual participants will be working together to raise money leading up to the event
  • On the day of Mule-a-thon, the participants will be able to dance, listen to music, play games, and more!
  • The event will finish with a big reveal of the total amount raised that will directly go to the Amber Elchert Foundation.

Our Mission

Mule-a-thon was created to honor the legacy of Amber Elchert ‘13. Our goal is to come together as a campus community to raise awareness and support for critically ill children. We want to inspire others to live selflessly and lead a legacy like Amber!

Philanthropic Aspect

The Amber Louise Elchert Foundation is a non-profit organization providing assistance to children with critical illnesses and their families while building awareness of the needs and requirements of these families.

Participants - Individual

Individual:

  • $25 dollar entry donation to participate in event
    • Included in participation:
      • T-shirt
      • Wristbands
  • Registration closes on Sunday, November 13 at midnight

  • Every participating member must raise the $25 participant fee
  • Minimum of two people per team - no maximum
  • Each participant can only be a part of one team
  • Organizations can be represented by teams
  • Registration closes on Sunday, November 13 at midnight

    • T-shirt
    • Wristbands

Participant Requirements

  • Check in time is 7:45 pm in Light Lounge
    • All participants (teams and individuals) must be present unless an accommodation form has been submitted
  • Needed for check in:
    • Donation if not already submitted by individual or team
  • Individuals and teams will be participating for the entire 12 hour duration
  • All participants are free to leave Seegers if they want, but may not re-enter event
  • All participants may not enter if they are visibly intoxicated

It is important for us make this experience as accessible as possible! This form is a place where you can voice any specific concerns, accommodations, and information we should know in order to make this as comfortable as possible.

FAQs

  • Am I expected to fundraise throughout the night?
    • No, this event is a fun celebration of the funds raised prior to the event! We would encourage you to continue to post venmo boards, share the fundraising page with family and friends, etc. All funds will be counted towards the goal that will be announced in the morning!
  • Where is the event located?
    • The main floor Seegers Union! You are able to walk around the first floor throughout the night to take part in the activities in each space. Once you leave Seegers Union you are not allowed to re-enter the event.
  • What is going to happen for 12 hours?
    • Lots of fun surprises!! Performance groups such as A Capella, dance, etc. We will have a DJ, tournaments, games, and lots of big prizes. You will also learn pieces of the Mule THON line dance each hour. Top donors and teams will be recognized throughout the night. Food and drinks will be provided.
  • When can I start fundraising?
    • Now! While the participation fee is $25 we would love to have additional donations to help us reach our goal! We will have a fundraising page that will be shared the week of October 17.
  • Will accessible spaces and needs be provided throughout the night?
    • We will have a quiet space available for those who would like to step away from the crowd and sit. We will also have ear plugs available to help with sound control. If you require any additional accommodations, please let us know by completing the form.
