        • It is something that a person can be born with or develop in their lifetime: it is usually caused by or aggravated by pollution
        • Symptoms include wheezing, shortness of breath
        • There is no cure, just treatment with an inhaler
      • Lung cancer
        • Caused by smoking or air pollution
        • Symptoms include coughing up blood, shortness of breath, chest pains
        • There is no cure, only treatment with chemotherapy; this disease is fatal

      • Flu
        • An illness that increases in prevalence in the winter
        • The young, the elderly and those that are immuno compromised are most vulnerable
        • Symptoms include sore throat, runny nose, congestion, cough, fever and fatigue
        • Its effects can be diminished or avoided with an annual vaccine

        • Caused by poor oral hygiene and bacteria
        • Symptoms include pain, inflammation and difficulty eating
        • Prevention includes brushing your teeth regularly and avoiding sugary foods
    • In the stomach
      • Ulcers
        • Caused by excess stomach acid
        • Symptoms include abdominal pain
        • Treatment by medication or antibiotics is need to resolve the condition

      • Gallstones
        • Stones are made from the presence of excess cholesterol or bile in the body
        • Symptoms include fever, yellow-ish skin and nausea
        • Treatment includes surgical removal and diet change
    • In the intestine
      • Appendicitis
        • Occurs when the appendix becomes inflamed and fills with pus
        • Symptoms include severe abdominal pain, fever, vomiting
        • Treatment includes surgery to remove the appendix
