Choice A:

“FS Wiki: Rookie Mistakes”

- Read and discuss each of the headings in the article, emphasizing how to avoid “rookie” mistakes and adopt practices of experienced researchers.

“How to Guess …”

- Emphasize that guesswork is used only in preliminary research; published research must be well-documented and sourced.

- Read and discuss the 5 suggestions in the middle of the article. The link in each suggestion goes to helpful tips for each type of preliminary guess.

“FL: How to Research …”

- Briefly review the 14 points. Encourage learners to review this article at a later date when pursuing a research project.

“FamilySearch Community”

- Explain that you can read questions and answers from others on research topics, or post questions about your own research and get help.

“GE: How to Structure Your Research”

- Scroll down to the 10 Steps section and discuss each of the steps.

- If time permits, you might consider reading all or most of the article, as it has quite a few good tips about maintaining accuracy in research.
