Expeditions combines three things to broaden access to rich educational experiences: software built with teachers for teachers, immersive virtual reality content and devices that are available to any school.
Expeditions enables teachers to bring students on virtual trips to places that a school bus could never go — museums, underwater, outer space. They are collections of linked VR content and supporting materials that can be used alongside existing curriculum.
The best way to get to know Expeditions is by going on one. We’re going to spend time going through the set-up process, then go on an Expedition, and then spend some time discussing how this can be used in various learning environments.
Learning environments ex afterschool, 4-H Club, county fair,
Obstacles, wifi, lack of tech, noise in a crowded area
Obstacles real environments vs VR?
Larger learning experience vs “one hit wonder”
Youth development experience ex public speaking, how does the cardboard help?
The list is amazing, note that many are physical locations, others are explorations of careers
