Funding considerations

  • Options range from $46.5 - $53.4 million;
  • Project team already compiling value engineering options;
  • Looking to maximize the MSBA contribution;
  • 59.8% of Eligible costs plus incentive points for renovation scope and sustainability;
  • Advocating to the MSBA to support the EEC Program at the Swan Library;
  • MSBA funding only available for Borger, Fuller, Swan, and Lenfest buildings;
  • Preliminary indications from the MSBA are that external grants/incentives received by the District can be used to offset the Town’s funding contribution;
  • External Funding will reduce Leicester’s funding contribution requirement.

19

20 of 21

SBC recommendation

School Building Committee is recommending a not to exceed total project cost 49 million anticipating a solution between $40-49 million.

    • MSBA Determination of Eligible Costs $40,000,000
    • Base Reimbursement Rate 59.8%
    • Anticipated Incentive Points 3.0%
    • MSBA Funding $25,120,000
    • External Grant or Utility Funding $ 2,300,000
    • Leicester Funding $20,580,000
