Utility Dashboard for Students

  • Worked with Department of Teaching & Learning to incorporate VBCPS utility usage into elementary curriculum
  • Built two custom PowerBI dashboards which are dynamic and interactive
    • All utility usage from 2009
    • Dominion 30-minute usage data since 2020
  • Learning goal is to read and interpret various graphs and tables

NORESCO Rate Analysis

  • Commissioned NORESCO to analyze the 30-minute usage data from 5 different schools
  • VEPGA rates 100, 110, 130, and 132 were all modeled
  • All schools selected will produce guaranteed savings by switching rates
  • Total savings guaranteed at $192,600 over the course of 1 year

Electric Vehicle & Bus Charging Plan

  • Commissioned a study for the potential cost and location of white fleet (cars and maintenance vehicles) and yellow fleet (Buses)
  • Studied the transformer sizes, existing Dominion infrastructure, and parking lot Space availability at 20 locations
  • Goal – 6 DC fast chargers at each site for white fleet
    • 6-8 DC fast chargers for yellow fleet
  • Currently at 95% completion
