About Us

OREd guides districts through data-driven solutions and policies using stakeholder interviews, GIS analysis, mathematical modeling, and applied decision science.

OREd is an unbiased, third-party evaluation research group that helps to depoliticize the school planning process.

SchoolCAMP connects school district, city, and county leadership to identify root challenges, and then collaboratively design and implement technical services and community engagement strategies to address those challenges.

Keeping the focus on what’s best for kids

  • Safe, welcoming, and supportive learning environments
  • Access to high-quality instruction and student supports
  • Reasonable class sizes
  • A strong sense of belonging and continuity

Best Practices

As the geography and number of children changes, CHCCS is responding with a comprehensive school planning process

  • Community aligned evolution in school system operations & design

When to adjust school boundaries?

  • Every 5 years, along with the assessment of the condition of school buildings - evaluate the need to redistrict
  • Typically necessary when a school is opened or closed
  • Make decisions in the winter for implementation the following school year
