Personalized Learning (PL) is a one-size-fits-one approach to instruction that (1) taps into each student's strengths, needs, and interests to customize learning and (2) supports student voice and choice in what, how, when, and where they learn to ensure that all students achieve at their greatest potential.

District Commitments

COMMITMENT #1

All teachers will implement PL with a focus on all Core Four areas each year. Student Reflection & Ownership is a recommended starting point.

COMMITMENT #2

Each school selects 1-3 instructional models. Every grade level or content area will customize one or more instructional model(s) to support existing district goals. Teachers will customize these base models for their classrooms.

COMMITMENT #3

Targeted instruction should occur in groups of 7 students or less at least once per week.

COMMITMENT #4

Students will reflect on their classroom learning activities (what works well/what is difficult) and offer evidence of mastery on each competency.
