HOW TO HELP YOUR CHILD:

Lessons involve a lot of discussion and brainstorming, the occasional video and a great deal of writing. 'Best practice' is taught to hone writing skills and attention drawn to adequate planning to ensure a sequentially logical essay. Homework is given twice a week - and will take the form of a written essay for completion a number of days hence, or classwork completion. Moreover, students are encouraged to present the latest news during the weekly News Alert session and to reflect on big ideas. Formal class tests will be administered at the end of each unit and AS as part of a case study, essay questions will be independently worked out by students.
