“My Mini Main Street”

  1. Choose an essential building (Post Office, Ferrari Store, Bakery...)
  2. Draw a picture of it! Use a drawing app or nearby piece of paper.
  3. What emotion/atmosphere would you connect with it? Write down the emotion within your drawing.
  4. What might you hear inside this building? Write examples of these sounds within your drawing
  5. Take a screenshot or photograph of your drawing.
  6. Optional: Write a short sensory poem describing what you might experience inside the building. OR, using an audio recording app or website (Voice Memos, Audacity, GarageBand, etc.), record ONE track that emulates the mood and/or energy of the building. Could be instrumental OR foley sound effects using objects at home!
  7. Post to Padlet! padlet.com/hendricks/mainstreetmusic
  8. Optional: Tweet out your creations! Use #mainstreetmusic as the hashtag.
