WHAT IS PBIS?

Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is a framework that we use to create a safe and positive learning environment for all students. PBIS is based on evidence and aims to improve student outcomes in a variety of areas, including social, emotional, and academic.

How Do We Reward Students & Teachers?

Teachers, Staff, Bus Drivers receive tickets to pass out to students whom they witness doing the right thing by meeting our Behavioral Expectations.

Students can cash in tickets in their classroom and choose rewards from their class menu.

Students can also put tickets in for drawing to win Game Day Friday.

Staff members are recognized at faculty meetings.

• Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) is a process that helps people develop the skills and knowledge to manage their emotions, build relationships, and achieve goals.
• SEL is a developmental process that begins at birth and continues throughout life.

WHAT IS SEL?

SEL is a whole-student approach to the mindsets, skills, attitudes and feelings that help students to succeed in school and life. We incorporate SEL all day, everyday, through activities like:

• Morning Meetings and Character Strong lessons
• Kindness Squad
• brain breaks
• mindful moments
• calm down corners

These techniques and exercises can be reinforced at home, as well!
