INFORMATION REPORT
ANZAC DAY
Information
ANZAC Day is related to Remembrance Day. But there’s several differences between both of the holidays. ANZAC Day is for commemoration, for thanking veterans and it’s also a part of our national story. Remembrance Day, on the other hand, is solely about reminding yourself about the ANZAC soldiers that died in honour of your country.
Information
People wear red poppies made out of light cloth or paper as a mark of respect for those who have died while serving their country. They’re traditionally worn on and around ANZAC Day. The poppy has origins in the early twentieth century when red or Flanders poppies bloomed over the graves of soldiers in France and Belgium.
