GrandCoeur defines the vulnerable as men, women and children who are economically disadvantaged and are unduly exposed to damaging patterns and habits – homelessness, widows without sustainable sources of income, the aged without family support, ex-convicts, ex-commercial sex workers, deportees and victims of gender-based violence.

Who are the vulnerable?

GOALS

  1. To safeguard the rights and privileges of the child and provide for their well being.
  2. To facilitate protection and places of safety for victims of gender-based violence.
  3. To facilitate the relocation of the homeless to appropriate institutions.
  4. To provide medical, legal aid and assistance to the old aged and to take such other measures to ensure their social well being.
  5. Use various capacity and rehabilitation building tools that will help lift the vulnerable out of poverty. �
