Inclusion Planning Teams

Purpose: To develop and deepen inclusive practices within the school community through a research based process in order to better provide all students with access to a full continuum of services in the least restrictive environment.

Membership: At least 50% of the team membership must be BTU elected, through a school-based BTU vote. Teams should represent diverse voices and representation across the school community (ie race, grade level, content area, professional role, and special programs). Appointed membership may include caregivers, students, and/or community partners/stakeholders.

All schools must have the IPT team formed before the end of the school year in order to start the next school year with the planning process right away.

It is strongly recommended to provide regular updates to Family Council, School Site Council and/or Equity Roundtable.
