April has come to a close and we are weeks away from the end of the school year!!! WHAT???!!! That seems unbelievable! Even though the end of the school year is close at hand, there are still lots of things happening in the library…we never have a dull moment! We finished up ALL of our research and presentations…many of those posters will be in the halls soon. I have been working closely with out IT and the AEA to implement and better and more efficient way for our students to access the informational databases offered to us by MBAEA. This new program has been rolled out to our 3rd, 4th and 5th graders and is allowing them the ability to access this information with greater ease. I have also been doing LOTS of read alouds. I love reading books to our students and, oh, how I have missed it during our Inquiry time! Ask your child what books I have been reading to them, I haven’t found one yet, that they haven’t LOVED!

SUMMER……does NOT mean a break in reading!!! It means MORE TIME for reading:) Keep your eyes peeled grown-ups, because I will be sending home some super amazing info about Summer Reading in the next few weeks! I work closely with the Bellevue Public Library so that our students can be part of the public library reading program and BLOW UP their summer reading goals!!!
