Preselection with ‘and8 Select’

and8 Judge | The ‘and8 Select’ Interface

  • There are 3 different sections that will help you to rank each dancer and to create your own personal ranking:

RED = Not enough for the next round

  • This judging interface is used for all qualification rounds in the preselection

WHITE = Possibly suitable for the next round

GREEN = Must be in the next round!

  • After you have completed and sent your voting, the seeding for the next round will be created from the summary of the votings of all judges

Fader With the fader you set the position for each individual dancer.

Variety: Dimension, Empathetic Approach – Vocabulary, Variation

Artistic QualityMind – “How and Who?”

Creativity: Progression from the Foundation, Response, Improvisation

Personality: Stage Presence & Charisma, Individuality & Character

Interpretive QualitySoul – “Why and When?”

Performativity: Composition & Narrative, The Element of Surprise, Emotional Engagement, Authenticity

Musicality: Coherence, Accenting, Syncopation, Texture, Phrasing

The ‘Threefold Value System’

  • 3 fader, each one represent different evaluation criteria
  • The evaluation is made after every round after both dancers/athletes showed their sets/runs
  • At least one fader must be moved (you decide which criteria you use to evaluate, the more criteria you use, the greater the feedback to the dancers)
  • TIE’s are not possible (you will get a notification)
