  • Expand on the Knowledge learned in Culinary Arts 1
  • Prepare Breakfast make dishes
  • Create Sauces
  • Learn about Soups and Stocks through preparation
  • GET to make DEEP FRIED food! Yummy!
  • Preparation of different appetizers
  • Menu writing
  • Use unique herbs and spices to create delicious dishes
  • Expand your knowledge and skills with knives in the kitchen

Global Foods-Pre-req.Culinary 1 & 2

  • Have you ever wanted to try foods from different countries? Well you get to in this class! Not only will you get to try food from other countries but also you get to learn about the culture and foods that come from each country. Some countries we travel to are:

Culinary Arts 3/Section A & B

  • Open to 10-12 graders. Each section is a semester long course. Must be interested in the Culinary Field.
  • Students must successfully complete Culinary Arts 1 and 2. Recommended to have also taken either Global Foods or Baking classes.
  • Students will learn the ServSafe and Prostart Curriculum.
  • Build on skills from the previous courses and have the opportunity to do restaurant simulations and ProStart cooking competitions

Culinary Arts 4:Section A & B

  • Students must successfully complete: Culinary Arts 1, Culinary Arts 2 and Culinary Arts 3 Sections: A & B.
  • This class is offered for students who are considering a career in the food industry!
  • Through this class, students have the opportunity to expand in Prostart and gain valuable culinary experience! And compete if interested!

  • Requirement Baby think it over simulator (Reality Baby) required to be brought home over a weekend
  • Understand the different stages of pregnancy, labor and the stages of fetal development.

Come learn how to become an early child care educator, preschool teacher kindergarten and early elementary educator through “hands on learning”. Learn how to develop and implement lessons plans which are developmentally appropriate for “whole” child and foster and a nurture the love of learning

  • The same course as Early Childhood is equivalent to that at Blackhawk Technical
  • Open to grades 11-12
  • Prerequisite - child development or parenting
  • Learn how design and implement lessons for math, art, music and sensory motor (gross and fine) relevant to child developmental age
  • Plan healthy meals and learn about safety issues and communicable disease prevention in child care setting

FACE COOP

  • Open to 10-12 graders.
  • In this course you will attend school for major part of the day, and then are allowed to leave last hour of the day to work.
  • Understand career options in the workfield
