Works with members to improve safety and reliability:

• Member Support Missions (about 250 a year)
• WANO Representatives – assigned for each plant
• Member Performance Improvement – formalised interaction plan/assistance plan
• New Unit Assistance – 18 NUA Modules, applicable along all C&C
• Industry experience condenced and recorded in WANO Principles, Guidelines and Good Practices

CONCLUSIONS

WANO is tuned to provide assistance to its members through:

• Identifying the plants that need increased assistance based on OE/PA data and PR results.
• Prioritising assistance needs and requests with involvement of WANO Reps.
• Use ‘tailor-made’ approach for member support missions, to better address specific needs.
• Arranging regional and/or global industry support to the plants that need increased assistance and preparing a WANO assistance plan for these plants.
• Assurance that a recovery or action plan is developed and implemented for each plant that needs increased assistance to improve performance in an accelerated manner.
• Monitoring plant performance to determine the effectiveness of provided assistance.
