Project Aim

  • The project aim is to use discrete event simulation to model calls to GPs, building on the process mining work that is already being done by NHSE.

​

  • The aim was to also add in 111 calls and Emergency Department, but I only had time to model GP calls.

​

  • This model gives us the ability to test out how changes to the system, e.g. the number of receptionists, impact other parts of the system e.g. how long a patient waits for their call to be answered.
